      Because it's a $30 discount, Optus might be better reception for some people, and it gives us a market awareness of what's on offer. Are you suggesting that we only ever post the one best deal?

    Why would you go with Optus? Boost is cheaper (can be had for $135) more data, some international calls.

    I think Optus wins on having a data roaming option (expensive but available), supports SMS via WiFi, and has a number of Optus perks.

    So good deal for those who need the above…
    …while everyone else should just go with Boost.

    This woule be a reasonable deal for me. I will still choose Optus over Boost as I need to be able to receive sms overseas (all of my banks require me to key in sms code before I can do money transfer) and optus does it for free.

      On Boost I believe you only require the $5 credit to make and receive calls plus send SMS.
      You should receive SMS overseas for free.
