Even if you're an avid computer builder it's still a good deal because the CPU and graphics card alone will cost you 600+

  • Missed out but in case there is more stock… How's this PC for video editing in davinci? Just 1080p for now, might dabble in 4k later down the track if I get a 4k camera.

  • damn… wish i saw this in time….. oh well black fridayt sales not long away and more fun building one..

  • Great deal. Saw it in its infancy but held out, waiting on the 3950x for some longevity.

  • Thanks OP, I snagged one. But now after reading more about it I am a little concern with the 8GB RAM and the low PSU…..
I as hoping to use it for light/med gaming and video streaming and photo editing

    • PSU should be fine for what’s in there, unless there’s something specific you’ve read elsewhere? 8GB isn’t huge but will do the job for now, you can upgrade here

      • Thanks for the info. I will wait till I use the PC to see for myself before upgrading the RAM. Cheers

      • Are you sure on the compatability of the RAM? My Dell was very limited in what was compatible, even same speeds and specs RAM. I have returned RAM because of this issue before. If you know the model number of PC or mobo usually there is some RAM compatability specs somewhere on the Dell site to check first. Speaking from experience after buying laptop ram (my fault) but then popular RAM brand at salesmans assurance it would be ok even if not on list, only to have to return that too :)
I don't want to stop anyone buying a cheap PC, but if you have RAM upgrades in mind, maybe do a bit of research first. My Dell has been rock solid so no complaints about the rest of the PC.

        • Not sure to be honest, was going by this comment. I’ve always built my own PCs previously, and never had issues with all types of mixed RAM, so buying this Dell could be a different experience.

I'm not keen on Dells gaming pc's after having one because of the mobo limitations and no support for XMP - what speed ram you get you are basically stuck with, plus their damn bloatware doesn't help.
Don't get me wrong, this is a great price for use 'as is' - if thats what you need then it is ideal for you, doubt there are many deals around this price for a pc you can use for gaming.
If you want to do anything in the future in terms of getting more out of it, i.e. overclocking or RAM upgrades - then this probably isn't the best computer deal for you :)

I would upvote the price but sorry I am not a fan of their gaming pc's.

  • Finally, a PC deal with an OPTICAL DRIVE and USB 3 and 3.1 on the front of the case!!!
I've been waiting for a functional (rather than pretty) PC case deal forever.

I have this case (or it looks exactly the same), and i like it. Sleek looking with the blue LED, and those 4 USB at the front are very handy.

    • Edit - the photos show an optical drive but the tech specs say no optical drive. Looks like their descriptions aren't very accurate since it only mentions 1 HDMI output from the video card, but in reality there are multiple outputs from that card. I'm also not sure if there is an optical sound card input (pics look like just the standard audio inputs - I like the simplicity of a single optical cable from my nice Logitech Z-5500 surround system to the PC).

Oh and this PC has inbuilt bluetooth and wireless connectivity - nice little bonus.

  • Any more stock to come in?

Back in stock at time of posting!

      I don't see it as being available…

        Went over 10 of posting.

  • Just got my delivery date 19/11/2019, timing is not bad.

    • Same here, positive news.

      • I've got a similar date (20/11/19). Quite happy with that, especially considering I was not expecting to receive it for another month

    • Update, seems like they may be on the dock. Status is now showing shipped on Dell link (was in production yesterday).

Now to wait for the Startrack number, I wonder if they will send it my mobile as I signed up for the status updates (however didn't get an update for this status)

      • Received sms scheduled for delivery tomorrow

        • Mine hasn’t progressed past order received, and I ordered pretty early.

          • @jwh: Don’t know why I ordered when there were already over 60 votes

            • @Ahan: Hopefully get some solid progress soon… making me anxious now!

          • @jwh: Try contacting them, should be in at least build by now.

Mine got a shipping number today but not working yet (STPER, going to Perth).

            PS mine was last 6.

            • @DH: Thanks DH, at least you just got in with the orders and secured one. I was within the first 10 orders (been hanging for a deal for a while, my current PC is pretty ancient) so I WAS pretty excited to finally upgrade. I’ve sent an email to support asking for an update.

        • same here, so excited!

        • received the same message stating delivery tomorrow. 3 weeks early!!

        • Have you got the invoice before it was delivered? I was told that I would get it after.

Also does your tracking code actually work cause mine doesn't.

          • @DH: Update my tracking code was wrong and while I was on the phone we missed delivery.

  • As of posting there appears to be 2 cancelled 5676 on Dell eBay, sort via newly listed.

Question to the people who have received their PC already.

Did you have a (very) slightly different spec to what was listed?

Mine came with an optical drive (DVD-RW only) but is missing 1x USB 3.0 in the front and the SD card reader.

I'm wondering if this is why we were able to get ours so quickly.

    • +1

Mine also has the port thing, I only have 3 standard USB ports and C

Did you also notice that the Wifi is only 1x1 not 2x2

      • yeah,I got the same one, have you emailed Dell yet?

        • Yes, use the eBay contact seller option they give you two options return or value add.

They advise to talk to AMD for the codes.

          • @DH: Thanks for that , just wondering what's the value add option about?

            • @MLGB: They offer a refund of the machine if you return or as I and a few others a headset selling at ~$50

              • @DH: OK, thanks a lot!

                • @MLGB: Anyone have luck on getting the gaming codes?

    • Just noticed what the 3:1 MCR is also, missing the card reader, so up to 3 items missing plus the codes for the games

Have you recieved any reply from Dell?

  • Just read the specs of my order/build and it seems to have the same hardware as both @DH and @sena86 - no card reader, 1x1 wifi but includes an optical drive. I emailed Dell about the game codes but the rep had no idea and told me to ask the promoter…. :-(

  • Can someone please do a speedtest using Fast.com/Speedtest.net or something similar and let me know if their speeds are lower than expected?

I'm seeing 45/18 with all my other devices, but maximum I'm getting is 17/15 on the Dell. I'm trying to figure out what is throttling the speed. Strangely a speed test directly with Aussie Broadband is showing the exact same speed across all devices.

  • —Deal is open again, a few units available as it seems for the same price, code was PLAID20—
Glad I snatched one after hesitating last time, Est. delivery: 3 – 10 Jan though :(
