Giordano Leather Belt $19.90 (RRP $129) + Other Styles - Free Shipping on Orders $50+ @ Giordano

962

I actually own this belt, I purchased it on sale a year ago, it is honestly great quality, I can't tell much of a difference between this and my Ferragamo belt Which was 25x more expensive.

Cow split layer leather(two layers of cowhide leather).
Automatic alloy buckle.
Water-resistant, wear-resistant.
Width(mm):32.

They also have a wide range of other belts that are also on sale.

Pin buckle leather belt

Full list of accessories

I have also purchased Gym Tops and own 5 because I liked them so much, they are super breathable fit perfectly and are 2 for less than $30, I have just got 2 more and never wear my Adidas or Nike tops anymore, mostly because these make me feel bigger than I am!
These gym tops are $19
I wasn't a fan of the "fast max badge tee" it was poorly fitting on the arms, but the coolmax ones fit perfectly.

Its $15 shipping or free over $50
The website is rubbish and their customer service is meh.
They also have a strange way of modeling their models which doesn't appeal to a large audience.
They also bloat RRPs

But surprisingly their clothes are great!

Also if you are on desktop they have a non-mobile website that is slightly better

What's with this locking mechanism? I bought another belt and was surprised to see the same system of notches.

Is this how belts are now? I realise it causes less damage to the belt than the old punch-hole system, but I wonder about finding replacement belts.

Any belt nerds in the audience?

    • +4

I think the main reasons are
      1. Less damage and stretch to the holes and no visible holes
      2. Your stomach weight fluctuates throughout the day so instead of having holes spaced 4 cm apart you have less than 1cm adjustment making it tighter and more efficient for weight fluctuation
      3. If you loose weight you can easily cut it down to size at the buckle
4 you can change the buckle with ease

    • Yeah wow. The locking mechanism makes this one interesting belt.

Tempting to buy just to check it out!

Checkout trakline belts. That is what they are, I've been using one for years and love it. (Plus you can get trakline belts much much cheaper)

I'm quite shocked at how this has got to the front page. It is a cheap belt made from leather and polyurethane (normally sandwiched between cardboard), sold by a Hong Kong based fashion company that can be bought cheaper elsewhere. The RRP is just a ridiculous and nonsensically high figure and the belt itself is not worth the $20 being asked.

  • Does it beep in airport metal detectors?

    • +8

Yep, the belt has a speaker on it, makes a loud beeping noise

  • She won't hold my gut in.

Can i just give a word of warning? Giordano is not a luxury brand by far and their belts are no way 119 RRP.
I have seen them sell pants in store at least buy 2 get 1 free (the best i have seen was buy 1 get 2 free in taiwan)

  • Asian kids hate them

  • +5

Thanks OP. I bought 2. Didn't need it as I use draw strings but it's good for beating some kids with. Not mine obviously.

Eh, if you have amazon prime, you can get a very similar belt for less money.

    • Plus this one “ makes you look more handsome” - I’ll take 2 thanks.🤓

thanks for that, got it for $12.70, even cheaper than this shop's shipping fee.

    • Thanks Zippy, got one and free shipping 👍

  • This brand use to be big in China, now it is pretty much dead.

  • nice find op ordered one great price

Can't comment on the belt but I too have a few of and really like the gym t-shirts, especially for $19. They're the same quality as my Nike/Adidas/GymShark ones but less than half the price here.

    • This, I like the belt but I love the gym shirts.

I honestly own 7, I also like that it's not a well known brand here and saves me one less decision in the morning.

I used to buy gym shark but found it was awful quality, I literally had a fake pair of the skinny joggers and a real pair. The fake pair fit better and lasted longer.

I never bought another gym shark product after that.

  • Wow I've never seen a belt with this locking mechanism.

Thanks OP. Voted. Very interesting and looks good.

    • Which locking mech?

      • This belt has a "ratchet" locking mechanism.

        • I don't understand, is it like the one in thumbnail? It looks like common ones since like 2010ish? I'm confused what Ratchet tech??

          • @capslock janitor: Ha ha. Ok.

Yes it's the one in the thumbnail.

You probably know more about it than I do!!? I think you won't find a ratchet belt in many bricks and mortar shops though?

            • @robertm: I'm not so sure. I thought maybe the one in deal was some sort of new "ratchet" type that I'd like to know about too.

I got a couple from Yd instore, for school Formal few years back.
              https://www.yd.com.au/au/accessories/belts
Are they same ratchet you're thinking of?

I'm sure most usual Suit retailers (like David Jones, Myers etc) would have them..?

              • @capslock janitor: Hmm. I'm not sure if we're on the same page. I had a close look at the yd belts and they all have holes which belt buckle prongs go into.

Have a look at the ratchet belts… no holes and no prongs!

Good price for the mech belt. I have a few from Asia, can't use a normal pin and hole belt anymore.
However, having the brand name at the front kills it.

I am not a walking billboard nor I want others to see brands on my clothes.

    • +2

Look at the other link, there is plain ones too.

      • thank you, yes, I ended up getting the plain ones.

  • wear-resistant.

    So it's hard to wear?
    💀

  • People still wear dead animals, in this day and age?

  • A split leather belt is worth about $19 normally..

I know I was shilling these guys a bit before and I really do think the ratchet belt and gym tops are great, there other clothes have also been pretty good.

But I got a standard "hole" belt this time and it really sucks. Also took like 6 weeks to arrive.

So I would recommend the above products if you don't mind waiting and expect no thrill customer service or website, just don't stray away from the automatic belts.
