25MM HYDROCYCLONE SAND SEPARATORS - SERIES 5000

The ODIS hydro-cyclone separator is a simple device, easy to operate and maintain. It has no moving parts or screens. The hydro cyclone separates sand and other solid matter with very little head loss and 90% or better efficiency, no head loss build up and no clogging by solids being separated. Its versatility in system configurations and its economy in the installation are some of its great advantages.

Features
* The hydrocyclones use a tangential injection flow process, enhancing the centrifugal forces and moving solid particles outwards
* The dispersed particles move downwards in a spiral path into an underflow chamber, while clean liquid moves upwards to the centre of the spiral, towards the top outlet
* The underflow chamber can be drained manually or automatically without interfering with the proper functioning of the hydrocyclone Modular design - suitable for use in arrays for various flow rates
* 100 micron extra-durable polyester, applied electrostatically and oven-cured on a zinc-phosphate layer for maximal anti-corrosion protection

Specifications
* Recommended Flow Range: Up to 2666lpm
* Maximum recommended working pressure: 800kPa
* Maximum pressure: 1000kPa
* End Connection Type: Threaded (25,40&50mm) & Flanged (80,100,150mm)

Application

  • Filtration of reserve water such as deep well
  • Filtration of water containing sand, gravel or particles heavier than water Preliminary filtration of gravel, Disc and mesh filters

    Will be interesting to see exactly how many sales you get from this. Can't see it becoming a classic Ozbargain purchase.

          the Female BSP is a type of connection used in irrigation product, just like we have male usb and female usb connection there is male and female type connection for irrigation product. BSP or British Standard Pipe is a family of standard screw thread types.

    What in the hell is this thing?!?

    • It a hydro-cyclone which separates sand and other solid matter with very little head loss and 90% or better efficiency, no head loss build up and no clogging by solids being separated.

          I couldn't work out what it was used for but I figured it I didn't know I didn't need it. I assumed it was some sort of way to remove impurities from sand. Sounds like we need a "guess what it actually is used for" competition.

        • Sorry if it came across like that. To clear your confusion the Female BSP is a type of connection used in irrigation product, just like we have male usb and female usb connection there is male and female type connection for irrigation product. BSP or British Standard Pipe is a family of standard screw thread types.

    these type of devices are used widely in oil drilling, to separate the drilled rock particles from the lubricating mud. but on a vastly larger scale.

    • And production for initial processing out of sand and water from what has come out of the well.

  • i'll wait until 50% discount… true ozbargain spirit

  • Cashback.?

    • I can't help imaging someone like Sheldon looking slightly puzzled as he repeatedly has to dumb down the description and keeps retyping nearly the same paragraph.

      Still I learned something!

  • Does this include the flux capacitor or is it a separate cost?

  • It has a female BDM connection with a suction pressure of 800kPa. And the shape reminds me of a girl I knew.
    It is getting me strangely titillated.

    • Poor girl. That thing looks like it's from Thomas the tank engine
