Eb games always had it at that price.

Not always, they dropped to $99 bit were $200+ at first. I picked up a BB8 for my son at $99 and then had to buy R2 for $50 for myself when it came up.

      • wrong thread

        • How so?

Sphero doesn't make these anymore https://support.sphero.com/category/0jfj8702ah-r-2-d-2

So if you really want one, you might not want to wait in hopes that one day they match the EB deal from last May. https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/459055

I'm glad I got it from EB for $50, but it is super cool, and I still think $99 is reasonable for your own little, very realistic R2. He boops and beeps like the real thing, even does the bit where he pretends to be electrocuted and falls over - it's super cute!

  • would consider a life-size one but at 17cm, no bueno

    • Wonder how this compares to the US$100 R2 from Disneyworld…

      • Very different beast:

        decide yourself.

          Yeah well cos that's BB-8 :P

          Try this one for R2

$100USD just for the droid then $13 for a personality chip.. Gosh. The SpinMaster and U-Command BB-8s are better value and much bigger too (I have both).

  • Our JB-HiFi didn't have them anymore. Only the BB9. Our Eb-games didn't have it either. So today I drove 2 hours through to pick one up for my son.

I hope to find a BB8 with trainer as well, but none of the stores within a 2 hour drive range, has any left.

  • Does anyone know if you can buy the trainer separately?
