  • I wonder how quickly the $10 refer a friend voucher is processed…$2 for $25 worth of petrol makes happy times :D

"For helping us spread the Pounced word, we will issue you with a $10 Pounced Gift Voucher that you can use as credit on a future purchase!"

Tried… been 5 mins still waiting

      • Actually I just received one - a PDF with a voucher code, but the amount says $0, and has a start date of 4th August, and an end date of 11th August…

    • Voucher has a start date, so won't be applicable to this deal 4th Aug. I just read it again and it has given me a value of $0 to redeem. Great start!

    • I did this, attached to the email thanking for referring a friend was a voucher for '$0' (zero). Also if the amount was a mistake the voucher was only valid from the 4th of august to the 11th.

    Deal isn't active

    • And where do you get that info?

      • -1

        from the website…

        • Can't see where it says its not active?

        • Yep, there is an image below the buy it now that didn't load the first time I went there but upon a refresh shows that it is not quite on. Not sure what that means? What number do they have to get up to for it to be on?

        • shouldn't take long for another 80-100 to buy

        • -2
        • yep, can see now after a refresh as neil mentioned

        • +1

Something tells me this won't take long to activate…

        • I'm guessing their version of active may be after they run out of gift cards which wouldn't be useful for anyone.

        • Little gauge looking thing on the left below the BP card. Edit; damn I'm slow :D

Seems like a decent deal! Hopefully they don't fulfil for people who buy more then 1!

the dial is now up to the "i" in Pending…

        • Seems like they might be manually incrimenting the images. http://www.pounced.com.au/themes/blue/images/needle_images/

Someone needs to change the directory permissions ;)

        • have been told that the deal will be activated shortly (already sold 100 in first hour).

    • It's a groupon style deal, it needs 400 people to buy to go through, else refunds are issued.

  • I don't even know where my nearest BP is…. O_o

    • +3

why neg him? wouldn't you do the same…some people these days are way too jelly when they miss out

      • +5

congrats on negging me. FYI, I also got 2 giftcards :P

    • +2

Not sure why people are negging based on that comment
its based on one card per person, so you and your wife are entitled to 2 cards between you.

        its been edited…

  • Good deal..

  • can this gift card use for petrol?

  • anyone know which the "participating" BP's are in VIC?

  • +1

Has anyone bought from Pounced before? Are they legit?

Anyone else having problems with using an older browser to buy the deal/fill out details (IE 7)?

  • -1

Any T&C for the $10 referal credit? Do they have to buy the deal referred?

    Otherwise SPAM=Profit.

    • I'm spammed like crazy already from other group buy sites, so adding another one to the list isn't gonna make a difference to me

"Thanks for registering to get Pounce.com.au daily deals."

but their website is actually "pounced.com.au" so the link doesn't work!

  • -2

Too bad it's another site you have to sign up for and can't just buy from.
I'm over registering for all these group buy sites. They'll need something alot more special than this to be worth it.

    • +7

If half price petrol gift cards doesn't tickle your fancy then its unlikely anything else will.

      • +1

        do the accept paypal?

        • +1

          nope

      • -5

You're only saving one lot of $12. (Don't get me wrong, it's a good deal but it ain't a life changer. :P)

If it was a subscription to the voucher it may be worth it.

        • -1

people go all gaga when theres an extra 4c off petrol (i.e. 8c off petrol)…

how about a discount of 65-80c through this deal ;-)

      • umm…. it's half price petrol if you only fill up on $25 worth of fuel. otherwise its $12 off. still a good deal but hardly worth the effort of signing up to special buys that 'may' not even be valid at the end of the day.

  • It's on like Donkey Kong!

    …and nearly sold out apparently…

  • -6

  • +1

Ozbargained, anybody? Site is so slow now

  • it's gone straight from "Pending" to "Nearly Sold Out"

  • So the email voucher is not the voucher, we have to wait for the gift card in the mail correct?

    • that's my understanding

    • as per the original post, yes.

  • click "buy", then the web page never opens up for me….

I'm still waiting MONTHS later for that $200 BP free fuel card…

Not to mention after an 'incident' with a couple of BP station's I now let fuel/shop theft offenders get away and don't bother taking down the details… (I'm still a civilian)

    • They don't need you to take details, they have video cameras.
