Answering own question seems to expire 4am on 14 Nov
Since Asos released their singles day code for the UK late last night, everything decent is getting sold out already. I've also seen a few items that were part of their sale yesterday for $230 now back up of a retail price of $317 (fred perry jacket)
Codes are generally best for non sale items, unfortunately to get items at 80-90% off is rare lol
last year all the sale stuff they had were still up when they released the 30% off code, it would've been about 55% off (25% plus 30%). Now this year they are still claiming 'sitewide' yet have removed a large section of sale items, disappointing

The cashback is multiplicative. Furthermore, it doesn't give you cashback on the tax included.
So if you're paying 70% of the actual cost and you get back 10% of the price not including tax (approx. 90% of the price you pay), you're effectively getting roughly 36% off the RRP.100% x (1 - 0.3) = 70% (what gets taken from you)
70% x 0.9 = 63%
63% x 0.1 = 6.3% (your cashback)70% - 6.3 = 63.7% RRP (your effective cost)
Only works for the Australian store unfortunately so cant use other stores from other regions.
