MSI GeForce RTX 2080 Ti VENTUS GP 11GB Gaming Graphics Card with Modern Warfare 2019 for $1499 (normally $1699)
Delivery was $15 for me to 3000.

Not the best price this has been but it seems like it's the cheapest 2080 ti right now.

Just a FYI (not necessarily knocking the deal), but 2080 Ti's are EOL and have ceased production.

Considering these base, 'non-a' die bearing variants aren't as cheap as some flagship models once were; I'd suggest now is a bad time to buy.

Wait for next gen at this point, I reckon.

    • I'm on the fence and cant decide , should i wait till next year or buy on the Black Friday sale? the 2080 super or the ti? appreciate any help on this
the X Trio from msi is my choice if i decide to buy

    • Is there a Super coming? I didn't think the successor to 20 series would be around for a long while yet?

      • No news so far, but consider its been a while since the ti lunch , must be new one soon
the thing is those cards are too expensive around 1200 to 1800 mark for the RTX 2080 super and 2080ti, its way too risky now to buy if soon new ones coming out

Super was rumoured and evidence exists but hasn't been announced as of right now and the rumour is it's been cancelled.

30 series (or whatever they call it) is launching in the next 6 months, on 7nm process.

        • That's quick, didn't the previous gen hang on around. 2.5 to 3 years?

This one has been filled with an absurd number of models.

Haven't followed Nvidia sales figures, that could be a reason to go early… Especially given the 20 series was very minor upgrades.

          • @scuderiarmani: 1080 Ti (March 2017) was replaced with the 2080 Ti only a year and a half later (September 2018). If the trend continues, 30 series launching in 6 months checks out.

Remember the xx80 Ti model never launches with the rest of the generation. It comes later.

        • I thing the 2080ti wont have any upgrade to the super and more like new ti lunch for 30 series will happen in 6 months

        • Last I saw was them going to bring it for Computech in June. So it is still ages away.

    • I agree on the value proposition and the hint of launch timings, but do you have a source for confirmation on the 2080 Ti going EoL?

My understanding was that was the 2070 and 2080, and they may have reversed out on the 2070.

It's been more than 12 months since 2080 Ti was announced and 12 months since release. Stocks are drying up of flagship models and base models are more expensive than they should be. Retail are marking them EOL (MSY for one) and can't order them anymore. PC Case Gear's deal here is to try and clear it out.

        • The product channel for the 2080 Ti has always been limited, and always will be limited due to the professional demand for the top chips (i.e. they go into Quadro and Titan cards). The better the yields become, the less you see trickle down to the xx80Ti unless vendors demand stock.

Regardless, April to June is a good window for next-gen, and my speculation is that they will want to match or beat the next-gen consoles out the door, which would also give them a leg-up on next-gen AMD and Intel.

I am tossing up between the Asus 2080 Super ROG strix or this MSI ventus 2080ti. There's about $200 the difference. Should I pay the $200 for the ti? Is this a good 2080ti or being the cheapest, am I just potentially buying a headache?

    • Nope, all 2080ti overclock pretty well. The extra price to pay for the extra clock speeds from a binned chip isnt worth it, also considering Australian weather, keeping it from thermal throttling is another thing to keep in mind if you want to be able to maintain those performance gains.

Though my first EVGA 2080ti I got around launch had the bad ram, I had to RMA it back to Singapore out of my own pocket costing me about $100 shipping insured cover for $1800, but no cost to send it back. I guess those problems are solved now though.

People scoff at the price but once you acquire a flagship card, but if you sell it and use the money to upgrade to the next flagship it honestly doesn't feel to bad second time around. Weigh up how much enjoyment you'll get out of the purchase, I thought I would end playing many more games after upgrading but general life and long standing multiplayer games showed me different.

      • Sorry you lost me a little there. So not worth paying the extra $200 for the ti?

        • Not worth the difference

  • Not a bad price but looking to see what AMD drop and how it performs. Cmonnnn market competition!

    • The high-end offerings from AMD have always been underwhelming.

      • Everyone said that about their CPUs too.

        Now Intel is crying.

Everyone said that about their CPUs too.

Yeah, and it only took them a decade to offer something worth competing with.

Why is Intel crying exactly? They still have the best gaming and server chips.
