Great remote, I use it for my htpc at home. Great range (5m at least).

Orange is $29 + $12.85(VIC)=$41.85. Fast shipping. Great deal for pickup.
    Dealextreme $38.30 USD / $36 AUD shipped. 3 weeks, $5 savings

    • Do you have wireless? Does it interfere? I've been wanting one of these for yonks, esp one that takes normal batteries.

No interference with wireless (Billion 7401VGPM). Haven't changed the batteries yet and have been using it since about February.

As mentioned below, it lacks the function keys which are annoying especially if you need to get into the BIOS. I originally thought I'd get just a remote with basic play/pause buttons but I'm funding I'm often using the keyboard to tweak XMBC settings and occasional web surfing. It also resembles the USS Enterprise.

        • Thanks. Purchased. :) I like that there's a ctrl-alt-delete shortcut =)

  • Don't know if it's a bargain, but it is a very good remote, convenient. But it could just work as media keyboard, doesn't provide function keys F1-F12…

  • I'd be all over this if it was Bluetooth.

    • I have a bluetooth keyboard (MS Entertainment) as well and the Lenovo has a similar range. I was worried that because it wasn't bluetooth the range would be bad but it doesn't even need line of sight.

      • of course 2.4ghz wireless doesn't need line of sight…

Edit: sorry not trying to be rude, just pointing it out to others.

    • u'll be charging like crazy if that's bluetooth.

  • it looks good and the price is good too.+ from me
i'm currently using iphone and ipad (samsung app and wifitouchpad app) to control my samsung plasma tvs and my htpc over the home wifi ;)
(can control pc and tv from any room :) )

    • This sounds interestin mate, how do u use your ipad like this?

      • it's simple and free…if you have all your devices connected to the home wifi network(ipad and or iphone, samsung tv and of course your pc) then you only have to install samsung remote app(free) to the ipad/iphone and wifitouchpad app(you also have to install the program on your pc).
Trying to type with the tv's IR remote(samsung apps like youtube facebook etc) is a real pain, with the samsung app is much faster and enjoyable ;)

    • I do the same with my sony bravia and android phone app…

  • looks really good, so tempted….

  • good discount, but speaking of BT if you can do without the trackball you can get a BT keyboard for around 11 bucks delivered from ebay, but battery is non removable unlike this Lenovo, and in my experience the battery is the first thing to go

  • Been looking for this and would pick it up for $29, but alas, I'm in Melbourne…

Will probably have to bite the bullet and get it from dealextreme eventually… or someone from Melbourne please match this for us!

  • Very good unit. I have 2 and love them! Now I can't live without it. Bought them for $50 each which I thought was a bargain over a year ago.

    • Better deal on Ebay by the same seller!!!

      • the best competitor is sometimes yourself.

  • This one has no backlight is a killer for me.

What do you guys think of this one
    http://www.deal-cool.com/Product/24G-Wireless-Mini-Keyboard-…

For around $39ish (inc delivery), it has backlight, really small size, touch screen mouse pad, lithium-ion battery.

    • Looks good. I'm not a fan of touchpads but to each their own. With the Lenovo you only need one hand to hold the remote and use the trackball. Would you be able to do that with one hand on that remote?

    • I was tempted by that previously but I like having replaceable batteries so this is the one for me. :)
