yesss been waiting for this one. kogan 90 days about to run out in 2 weeks

  • $9.9 cashback for the $4.9 SIM while only $5 for this $15 SIM :((

  • Silly question:

I’m currently with CatchConnect $4.90 plan and it will expire in about 3 weeks. Once it expires can I use another SIM to port out, and port back straightaway with this 90 day plan? Does CatchConnect have a “cooling off” period like Kogan?

  • thank you!

so, it will be 30 days from purchase, meaning if purchased today, on or by Wednesday
    18 December 2019?

obviously trying to use my current service til the last moment.

    thanks again

    • +2

Yes you need to activate (port) before midnight 18/12/19. That will be 30 days from today (purchase date).

      • Can you port in? It automatically assigned a number when ordered.

        • Yep, you will get asked if you want to port in when you activate the sim card.

    Using methematics

    Is that maths on drugs?

  • Fix

When purchasing from CatchConnect, if you have an existing account, check the auto populated fields.

CatchConnect kept telling me, "This plan is no longer available" etc.
Then it wouldn't let me see other plans.

CatchConnect had inserted my email address into the date of birth field.
When I fixed the date of birth, I was allowed to proceed with the purchase.

Purchase it on Catch Connect(not Catch) and get $5 cashback, only $10 essentially.

    • +1

Shopback usually jumps on this with $12 cashback. Where are you Dealbot?

      • Yeah, unless a specal cashback pops up, $5 cashback is the norm, still beats OP's.

        • Shopback says "Up to $15 cash back" but it doesn't say how much for this particular offer. If it was the full $15 that would be awesome, of course. Trusting it will give me at least something

      Warning for this service:

If you switch off auto-renew, and then log back into the Catch Connect website, then it will secretly & automatically switch it back to auto renew.

You have to manually switch off auto-renew every time you log in.

      • +4

Have used this a few times and switched off auto renew but it stayed switched off.
        May be a recent change?

        • +1

I've checked as well and it's never happened to me either.

      • It's not happening to mine, I logged out and logged back in a number of times just then to try and auto-renew stays switched off.

      • Never happened to me..

        Sure ur not tripping?

      • This happened to me. Every time I turned off auto-renew the website showed me that auto-renew is turned off. But as soon as I come back to the dashboard I saw that auto-renew is on. I had to contact customer care and they turned auto-renew off which reflected on my dashboard.

        • may be some browser issue that you can see the changes you make but background process don't run properly and don't update the records.

    • Purchased. Now waiting for Belong $40 sim to go on sale in the next 3 months

    • +1

Thanks OP, been switching between kogan and catch 90day plan’s for year , my kogan plan ending this month. Just bought one.

      • Hey SR,

Can you please share how you actually go about doing this? Do you use the same email address and same account each time you make the purchase? Do you just keep porting from one to the other every 30 days? How do you time it so that you are never out of service?

        • +1

          Hi Carba848,

I buy kogan 90 days plan and then end of my plan I buy catch 90 days plan. Luckily they have been running these offers for every 2-3 months. I use same email for both catch and kogan. Never had any issues.

    • What happens if you don’t activate within 30 days? Does sim card become invalid ?

    • I already ordered 1 sim for 1 month that is active until 07.01. can i order another 3 monnth sim from same account? I can wait until existing sim expires/

      • You need to port out and in

    • Is new service determined by new email account? Or can you use the same email account that previously had a catch connect service?

  • Can I go from Optus pre-paid to Catch?
I went from Catch to Optus pre-paid in December with no issues.

    Thanks

  • I can add to my cart, but when I checkout it says:

Unfortunately this offer is no longer available. Check out our current plans

Anybody else had this? I logged in (I've previously had this deal) - maybe that's part of the problem..?

Edit: Tried a bunch of stuff and eventually worked, might've been that I used Cashrewards (which worked) instead of Shopback, don't really know.
