  Docklands to Airport travel time is estimated at 50mins on their website. Crap versus the 20mins it can be done from Southern Cross Station

  I won't be supporting this ridiculous legacy monopoly as it rakes in more than $66m in fares per year.

  Why are Melburnians and visitors to Melbourne millstoned with this ridiculous,super expensive airport bus monopoly?

  Why can't the airport route be open to genuine competition - like so many other sectors of business have been?

  In the meantime - until the monopoly is busted - I'll rail to Broadmeadows and then take the public bus to Melbourne Airport - it's a lot cheaper - about $6 one way - takes about 20 minutes longer - and you get the satisfaction of not supporting one of the now out-of-date, old-school-tie-club monopolies - who's time has long since passed.

  Booked today - note this code works on the Melbourne City Express as well - doesn't seem to be Docklands only.

    you may find that the scan doesn't work when boarding at Southern Cross for the airport, Just mention that you bought the wrong one and they're pretty cool with it.
