Xbox has just announced the following benefits for existing and new Gamepass Ultimate users:

  • 1 Month free EA access
  • 3 Months free Discord Nitro

If you don't have gamepass already then this can be combined with their current promo for 3 months of Gamepass Ultimate for $1. INSANE value.

To claim these offers on your console, just go to your dashboard and you will see a notification to claim your gift. From there you can join EA access and scan a QR code/enter a link to get your Discord Nitro. Both offers seem to default to auto-renewal, so be sure to turn this off.

For PC Only users I'm still looking for confirmation on how to get the codes. There are reports of some people contacting Xbox support and receiving their codes, and others are saying they were told codes will be messaged/emailed out.

BONUS: EXTRA 2 MONTHS GAME PASS ULTIMATE FREE. I'm not sure if this part was intentional, but once I signed into Discord with my Nitro activated I received a free 3 months of Xbox Game Pass in the Discord gift menu, which converted to 2 months of Game Pass Ultimate when I redeemed it to my account. I was already an existing game pass member.

              @OneTrueTatsuya: Just went to https://discordapp.com/ and clicked login from there I think, or "Open in browser" something like that - then there was a little banner with the Xbox Live offer running across the top of the screen

    Info time

    On the Xbox Home screen you will either scroll right or down depending on
    Your dashboard Version
    For the old dashboard scroll right for the new one scroll down
    Either way you want to end up on the game pass screen on the right hand side look for a nitro logo
    Remember it's an advertisement they change so you may need to log in and out or whatever other method will refresh that page.

    Going through this there seems to be a lot of confusion I hope this helps

    As for the extra months of ultimate via nitro that is something discord is running if you go to the Nitro tab in the app when you are a normal user it will state nitro users will receive three months game pass available now until January 6, 2020

    I have just signed up for Gold Live for $1 a few days ago.
    No eligible for the Game Pass Ultimate $1 for 3 months deal cause I already had it.

    If I upgrade my Gold Live to Game Pass Ultimate now, does the reaming time on my Gold Live get added to the the 1 month of Game Pass Ultimate?

          FYI anyone with live subscription now and already had game pass ultimate before, I was able to upgrade my live subscription to game pass ultimate and it added 30 days.

    just been yelling at an xbox rep that said there is a disclaimer on one page saying the EA Access and Discord Nitro is not available in Australia, and she didn't care if it was advertised on 3 different Australian pages, including the current Australian promotion page, as something you get with the game pass ultimate, what BS, she wouldn't even tell me who I could take it to to escalate it further, that's false advertising

    Thanks for posting this, extended my ultimate subscription for 2 months free!

    Steps I took (I already had an active Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription)

    • Accessed "claim your ultimate gift now" on my Xbox which is found in the game pass tab.
    • Claimed the Discord Nitro 3 month pass which gives you a QR code, scanned it and activated Nitro via my phone.
    • Then on my computer I went to discordapp.com and logged in which showed a bar across the top to claim 3 months Xbox game pass free. Clicked it and selected PC Game Pass, it displayed a code which I redeemed on my Microsoft account and got 2 months extra on my existing Xbox Game Pass Ultimate.
    • Cancelled Nitro Subscription so it doesn't renew (you still have 3 months access after cancelling)

    Hope that helps someone.

      I'm pretty sure if you cancel the Nitro you're only going to receive one month as it stated you would receive three months but the next two months are account credits there is still a monthly billing date I noticed when I went to click cancel.

      Did you keep those account credits when you cancelled I guess that's the thing I'm getting at?

        Yep you still have the 2 month credits after cancelling which will be used to "pay" for the next 2 months on the billing dates.

        I removed my payment details too and you keep the credits.

    those who've never used game pass ultimate this technique should apply, worked for me

    emptied bing reward points for 29 months Xbox Live Gold, bought 3 month xbox live gold code via key reseller for $25, now 33 months worth (got suprise month bonus upon redemption)

    joined xbox game pass with $1 offer, upgraded 33 months xbox live gold to 36 months game pass ultimate

    Is the EA Access offer a code that you can keep and redeem (before the fine print date in January) or does clicking "join" immediately start the trial?

    Want to wait to activate until I have more time over Christmas, but not sure about leaving the offer sitting on my dashboard (it keeps disappearing and reappearing).

          Im an existing Game Pass Ultimate subscriber, was able to sign up to Discord for free and claimed the free Game Pass Ultimate subscription from Discord which gave me and an extra 2 months, through to 13/3/2020.

                Which is why I went to support and got the same answer.

    successfully get the advertisement/icon in dashboard after reboot the xbox one s 10 times, finally get the extra 2 months of Game Pass Ultimate. Do not join ea access yet as I want to wait for the Xmas, but cannot find the advertisement/icon in dashboard again.
