  • What will I lose if I use this ACEA A3/B3 oil in a petrol car with specified ACEA C2?

stick with c grade oils as they are made for diesels

      • +1

Yes, I know that. But the car is not diesel

then go ahead and change to this oil, just make sure you don't have some sort of special catalytic converter that requires low saps oils

          • @asafasr: Wish I had known that info! But if it does not cause sulphur precipitation on the cat converter, it adds lubrication to the engine and reduces the friction I suppose. So that's the trade-off I have to decide on; cat life vs engine life.

Looked up Supercheap today before I bought 2 at Repco today and not this cheap. Happy to pay Repco the extra dollar and keep competition alive.

We get absolutely reamed in this country on oil.

Look up what Mobil 1 0 - 40 can be bought for in the USA and then look at the $100.00 plus you pay here for 5 litres.

    • I bought 1 bottle at Repco this morning too.

  • How does this compare to Castrol Edge?
