    Fulfillment by Amazon

  • I think I got that exact same model off Aliexpress on 11.11 for like $8

      Was that in good quality?
Aliexpress did offer very very cheap price, how could they make money with both good quality product and such a low price?

  • Your "good quality" product:

    Remote Control Technology: 2.4GHz transmitter
    Vehicle Battery: rechargable[sic] 4.8V 700mAh nickel-cadmium battery (included)

    very old tech, and

Remote Control Play Time: 15 - 20 minutes
    Charging Time: 3-4 hours

Deal breaker for attention seeking kids.

Also thanks to adr8 post and thanks to HappyPooPants comment much cheap at Kmart for $12

    • As the comment says, shipping is more then the car!

    • i'm not sure those points are fair.
this product seems to be about 50% bigger than the kmart or aliexpress ones.

its also comes with a built in rechargeable battery whereas the other ones require you to supply (and keep supplying) AAA batteries. that feature alone is generally worth about $10.
15-20min runtime is not great but is not unusual. i'm not sure how much longer the AAA ones run but wouldnt think its much more and you'd have to discard the batteries. I assume you can bu a spare battery to swop out? similar to what we do with the tiny drone toys

2.4ghz is not necessarily old tech. it is still the most widely used freq (incl by bluetooth and wifi) and devices are quite adept at not interfering with each other. i'm assuming it has either an auto or manual channel adjustment built into the remote

      • Sigh, the AAA batteries are for the remote control same as this one which uses AA batteries. 🤨
The Kmart $12 item is rechargeable via usb and while the AliExpress product does use four AA batteries for the car, you can choose to use NiMH or Li-ion batteries for a better experience when compare to this products' NiCad battery.
As the AliExpress web site states: Free Shipping to Australia via AliExpress Standard Shipping. 🤔

yep, the kmart one wins in my book for an inital buy to see what these things do.
thats a good point on ni-cad cd li-ion batteries. nicad is pretty much non-existent now so guess that backs up your suspicion about old tech.

but overall its still probably unfair to ding this seller as its not apples to apples plus i assume they've gone through all the hassle of customs clearance, local storage, and now having to respect AU consumer warranty so probably not an unfair price.
