  • Is the commercial site for employers who are working at JB Or for any business?

    • The link I used is for family and friends to JB Commercial.

  • As a FYI the difference.

Saw 75t for $250, got excited.
Saw I can't buy it, want to die.

  • I imagine over the coming period, this price and lower will show up elsewhere for those that don't have access to this deal.

  • They normally price match the commercial price in store if you can prove it.

    • Would that allow you to use gift cards as well?

      • you can choose to pay in-store upon pickup

        • How is this done? Only option I'm getting is card payment unfortunately

        • It specifically says, "PLEASE NOTE WE CANNOT ACCEPT JB HI-FI GIFT CARD PAYMENTS FOR COMMERCIAL ONLINE ORDERS"

what's the best/valid way of proving it?

      • I showed them the commercial site price on my phone.

        • Could you provide the link? Not able to find it or see it without membership.

@Ak0ovstic: I have access to the JB Commercial site (I probably should have mentioned that). But here is the URL: https://www.jbcommercial.com.au/familyandfriends/product/Jabra_Elite_75t_True_Wireless_In-Ear_Headphones_(Titanium_Black)/44947

  • How to login JB Commercial if I don't have an account?

Ask russian or Chinese hacker to crack it

  • I got them to price match this price so that I could use giftcards. They said no first of all, but as I was about to leave, the guy said his manager had agreed. Loving them so far!

    • good info.

did you ever have the 65t? I'm trying to have people check if the "hissing" issue has been fixed.

The 65t had an issue that when the speakers were "on" and either if there was no sound, or low volume sound playing, you could hear a feint "hiss" from the speakers (think of it as what you would hear from speakers if you cranked them to max).

This really isn't an issue once you start playing music/podcast/games as it gets drowned out, but it's obvious when a short sound is played, and the speakers turn on for 2 seconds to play the file. Also obvious in games where the music channel is activated (but you're playing with no sound) and the hiss would constantly be on.

Much appreciated if you have the time to check! No reviews thus far has made mention of it, but they also made no mention that it was an issue in the 65t - most likely just overlooked.

      • I didn't have the 65t's but a few friends have so that's what swayed me to get these over the comptetition.
I am using them now…and no noticeable hiss at all.
HearThrough mode takes a bit of getting used to though (and this doesn't seem to work too well when it's windy).

        • ive been using 65t for 12 months now and they've been great. im only upgrading for usb c + better call quality. 65T had an issue where it didnt filter out background noise, so phonecalls with them in a noisy environment was a no-go.

re hissing: keep an ear out, best way to check is to play a short notification sound. would be great that it is gone.

re hearthrough, its hard to expect it to cancel wind sound, it would end up cancelling other sounds and then defeat the purpose of hearthrough haha. it's very useful though.

          • @csider: I will have to try more phone calls with them…so far the people I have called have said they can hear me clearly, but I was in a pretty quiet room.

I haven't been able to hear any 'hissing' as such (although I have nothing to compare with) so hopefully that issue has been fixed with these.

And yes I will keep on trying out the HearThrough mode…I just noticed the wind was extra loud this morning on my way into work :)

            • @Ikitasa: you can adjust the level of hearthrough in the app. At 100% it actually magnifies the sound coming in and can be way too loud.

At least with 65t, i found it most naturally at 50% hearthrough.

              • @csider: thanks for the tip…I'll continue to play around

    • Hi,
Would be much appreciated if you could send a copy of 75t invoice to me at [email protected]
I rang a few JB this morning, none of them match the price. I end up driving to another one, they refused to match as well.

      Cheers,

  • How do these compare to the Plantronics Backbeat Pro 5100 ? I hear for call quality the Plantronics are way better in noisy environments like on bus and trains ?

  • Went to JB in Nunawading and they told they cant price match jb commercial. however the person reduced the price to 249, cheaper than jb commercial and paid by gift cart (10% off)..sweet!

    • Hey mate, any chance you could post a pic of your receipt? My sales assistant wouldn't budge the price. Cheers

      • Excuse my ignorance, but what's the strategy when using somebody else's receipt with JB?

Will Jb Hifi honour the prices given by others stores?

        (edited)

        • Asked them if they'd match the commercial price and after bending their arm they did (reluctantly).

  • For those with friends or relatives who are current students, alumni or staff of University of NSW, they have access to the JB HiFi Family & Friends discount program
