In terms of spec and quality, how would the r7 compare to samsung ru8000 series?
65R7 seems like a good price, just trying to decide if it worth waiting another week or not..

I think they're all edge lit, but the r7 and r8 can do local dimming for better blacks. Probably some feature differences at well.

I am waiting for this TV (65R7) to drop at Myer during Black Friday sales because I have $800 in gift cards, but wonder if I show them this and offer 1k they’ll do it.
All places I know has said they don't price match eBay. Yesterday there was only 5 units of the R8 available.. I see there's more than 10 now so I'm also holding till Black Friday.
Quick question about the "200 smooth motion rate", is this 100hz refresh rate?

Is it possible to connect a computer through hdmi and set it to 100hz? I have a hdmi cable that will allow me to set 144hz on a 1080p monitor, however the tv does not give me anything higher than 60 even when trying to set a custom resolution.
So this is a few bucks cheaper than local stores (The R8) but what if something happens and you need to send it back.. I'm assuming you will be liable for that cost then? Or will they cover it? Else it's not worth the few bucks saving (I'm in Melbourne)
You don't send back to the retailer. Hisense technician will come to you but just keep the box.
aahh ok cool tx for that info. Seems they are still the cheapest as JB hifi just pushed up their prices and other guys don't even have Hisense on sale.
Appliance Central just dropped their prices to match. They don't really have much stock nut are a bit cheaper for delivery. Good luck
