The Mijia Sensor Light has a 120 degree sensor angle up to a distance of 5-7 metres and changeable brightness. When triggered it will light up the area for 15 seconds. It's powered by AA batteries and can be stuck almost anywhere with its 3M adhesive back and inbuilt hook. Perfect for lighting up hallways, stairwells, cupboards, wardrobes or even as a bedside lamp.

The Mijia Bedside Lamp is Xiaomi's second iteration of the popular Xiaomi/Yeelight bedside lamp which now has Apple HomeKit, Google Home and Alexa support.           Not considered a generation as Mijia and Yeelight are different brands. I can ask Geek for a deal but the cost price of those are quite high so it probably won't be as good as this.

      Yes it has 3M adhesive and an included/optional plastic ring hook thing you would stick onto the 3M adhesive.

        Yes and the 3m adhesive is so strong it destroyed my plaster wall when I accidentally stuck it and wanted to reposition it. Ripped off the paper/cardboard of the plaster, not just the paint

    Beware, I wouldn't be buying from this people. They post out things which are not in stock. Once order placed there is no notification about delay and you have to keep chasing them as they will not have item in stock…

    I stuck these on my stairwell but I found I have to be almost right in front of it to get it to trigger. The sensor range does not seem wide enough to sense you approaching. Anyone else have this issue?

        What I mean is that if I stick it on a step, I have to actually be on that step before it lights up. I'd prefer it lights up the step before I get onto it.

    Night light gen 2 is much better. I have both. Gen 2 seems to be more sensitive to movement and is angle adjustable. Gen 1 sometimes feels kind of blind to any movement

        Sorry, I don't have that one. I can say that I haven't replaced the battery for either gen 1 or gen 2 since I bought them. Gen 1 I have probably for more than 6 months

          they are around aud 17 in taiwan so not much different. somehow i wonder how we can buy stuff for a similar price as overseas (incl. shipping). and those people at overseas earn less money but they can afford them? amazing.

        I have Gen 1 and 2 Xiaomi and also the rechargeable Yeelight. Each have their pros and cons. If you want something bright then Gen 2 or the rechargeable are better. Gen 2 has adjustable brightness as well. Gen 1 lower brightness is better for the bedroom but you probably want the brighter level of Gen 2 or the Yeelight for the bathroom.

    These gen1 sensor lights are so good for night time visits to the toilet or just walking anywhere at night but if the gen 2 or rechargeable is only a few $ more then I will wait for that as I hate having AA batteries around.

    Rechargeable everything would be nice.

    I want a rechargeable torch and headlamp.
