Get $50 Bonus if You Invest $100 or More @ Ratesetter

210

Got handed a pamphlet when walking to work - seems like you can invest $100 and get $50 if you're a new user. I couldn't do the deal as I've already signed up, but might be a good deal for people looking to invest in Ratesetter.

  • Better off using the referral program, both you and referrer get a free pineapple.

    • Looks like referral program needs a $1,000 starting investment for the bonus, whereas this one is $100.

Is it even worth it to invest $100? Haven't looked at it at all, but fees etc may eat up any gains..

Been using Ratesetter for a while now, you definitely get better rates than any savings account. Fees eat up around 0.1% interest. Still well worth it if you are lending at well above 3%.

      • True that, good call.
Fees are manageable IMO. Gives you great rates.

    • Do you think this will stack with the existing referral program? Could the second party potentially get $50 from referral and $50 from this deal?

      • Wouldn't say so.

    • you have to meet a $1k criteria tho

  • Any image of the back for the T&C's? I couldn't see anything that mentions the sign up bonus on the link.

What's the minimum period of time we can lend for?

This would be attractive if the time frame is short if we just want the $50.

    • According to the T&Cs:

2.1.3 The New Member transfers $100 or more into their holding account and places orders in any of
the RateSetter lending markets such that at least $100 is ‘on loan’ to borrowers
      .

The shortest lending market is 1 month. You could pull your money out after that month, but since the bonus is "paid within 30 days" I'd probably play it safe and roll the loan for a second month as well.

Thanks for that. Might be worth it if the lending duration is that short.

The "Invest Now" button is now broken…"Application Error".
I guess they only have so many $50 bills to hand out…

  • i get error https://members.ratesetter.com.au/app/Application/Error We are currently experiencing technical difficulties, please try again later.

  • Will you only get the $50 once matched with a borrower?

Just withdrew my $50 bonus. Thanks OP

  • I don't see any mention of the $50 bonus when I click through the link. It seems to be a generic page. Is the promo over?

  • I've created an account and put $100 in, do l have to lend the money to get the credit bonus or l just leave it there?

  • Anyone gotten their $50? My money has been lent out for 1 month and has just been renewed but no $50

      Yes, a while ago

      • Did you have to email them? As I read in the t&cs that payout is within 30 days of meeting the criteria, which I guess is now since it has been a month.

I think I got an email about receiving the bonus funds maybe a week it two after, the $50 is on my holding account, haven't withdrawn yet. And no I didn't email them.
