After missing out on this deal I had a look around for alternatives, as my crappy overpriced one from Bunnings has more holes than duct tape can mend. This looked like a pretty good deal. It sells for $6 more at CoTD. About 7% cashback should apply with Amazon AU, saving another dollar or so.

What I like about this one is the drawstring at the bottom. Most covers have straps, which do little to tie up the bottom. Result is that it comes off easily (once the velcro is gone), and bugs readily take up residence to escape the winter weather. What you find next summer is always a surprise.

  • Ordered - thanks!

  • same, got one. was about to order a cheapie from Aliexpress, i wonder if they're from the same mob in China.

    • I checked Aliexpress for exactly that, actually :)
But the cheapest ones on Aliexpress cost as much as this one, even though the quality seems less. This one seems fairly decent, made of 190T woven polyester. For me, the drawstring is important, as I currently have to tie string around the bottom to get it to seal somewhat.

  • My last cover disappeared without a trace on a gusty night. I bought a Chinese one with a drawstring and it's much more secure (and quieter too).

  • How well would these fit a Weber family q?

  • OP - have you received it? If yes, can you give us a quick review?

    • +1

I'm in WA, and this is coming from Eastern States by Fastway. That will take over a week. Fastway is so useless that sometimes the package sits in my city in a "sorting" status for a full 5 working days. But once I get it, I will report to let people know if it's any good.

      • Well? I had a look at it again and this one seems pretty light weight so I'm a bit iffy.

        • Unbelievably (or perhaps not), it has not arrived yet, because it was sent by Fastway. The tracking number does not even work. It is supposedly meant to arrive by today. If it doesn't (likely), I will lodge a complaint with Amazon. Everything they sent me through Fastway took weeks. A bottle of car wax from through Amazon US which I ordered last weekend arrived yesterday (thanks Fedex). A case ordered through Amazon US also took less than a week (thanks UPS).

I looked up the material type (190T polyester taffeta), which is not necessarily all that bad. For the cost, I reckon it is still very good, but I'll be able to comment better if ever I receive the stupid thing.

        • It finally arrived, and the label shows it was posted within a day of purchase. So the seller spoke the truth - Fastway stuffed up and took 3 weeks.

Material quite thin, like a cheap raincoat. I reckon it will last a few years, but not 10. It's okay for the price.

  • Did anyone receive their order? Because after chasing, the seller informed me that the courier lost it and they want to refund.
I suspect they never sent it.
