    • +1

Please be aware the XB900N in this deal, and the H900N you linked are different models.
The XB900N was released recently and is the “Extra-Bass” model.

According to reviews the older H900N still has superior noise-cancelling to the newer XB900N.
And the new H910N which replaces the H900N has been announced at IFA 2019 and should be released in Australia soon.

      • Thanks for that clarification, marge.

  • I am stuck between these or the H900N for $180 at Officeworks. Are there any major differences other than the amount of bass ?
I know next to nothing about headphones.
    Thanks

    • H900N has been out for awhile but is still the superior headphone (closer in ability to the flagship 1000XM3).
These XB900N’s are kind of a gap-filler, due to a lot of time passing since Sony updated their “Extra-Bass” noise-cancelling model.

The H900N still has the ability to turn-up the Bass levels in the App, while reviews have stated with the XB900N even if you turn the Bass all-the-way down it can still be too much Bass for some people.
The only negative I can think of with the H900N is it has 2 hours less battery life (28 hours vs 30 hours), which in my opinion is too little to be an issue.

  • Cheers mate for summing that up. I will definitely go and get them tomorrow.
Have one of each colour at Officeworks joondalup
