  • Thanks. Ordered one.

  • Is this guy legit? genuine Kingston and Sandisk?

  • Is this any good for an android tab as unsure of the class structure for them.

  • +1

Yes, Mymemory only sells genuine brand name cards. And a class 6 means a minimum of 6MB/s write - This card gets 15MB/s Read/Write according to MyMemory. So this should be fine for your tablet, are you sure is supports SDHC cards and not Micro SDHC cards?

  • The mymemory brand one 16Gb Class 10 is faster and cheaper

Sigh.. some people. The reason I posted this deal was because it was a very good price for a (key word) KINGSTON, not MyMemory. And the MyMemory is only a few MB/s faster, but it's probably worse in other areas (warranty, reliability, write speed when transferring small files etc.

Do your research before making ignorant comments.

I use a ton of memory cards in my role, and I have a few of the Mymemorys while not in the same league as x433 CF cards or sandisk ultras speed wise, they are fast enough for shooting in RAW.
Personally I don't like kingstons (personal preference)I have had too many go bung.

Oh my bad then. I just saw it as a good deal, for a class 16 15MB/s read/write kingston 16gb sdhc card considering the next cheapest from AU is $40 after delivery.

  • Why this one is cheaper:
    Kingston 16GB Ultimate X SD Card (SDHC) 100X - Class 10 G2
    £15.75

    • The class 6 is actually higher quality than the class 10 believe it or not, and the class 10 only gets 10MB/s read/write and the class 6 gets 15MB/s read/write

Source that the class 10 version is crap - http://www.amazon.com/Kingston-Digital-Memory-SD10G2-16GB/dp…

Go down to the reviews section.

      • That's strange.
Same brand Kingston but class 10 is slower than class 6.
Shouldn't the 'higher' class should be faster? In addition, they both say 100x.

        • I can't comment on that article.

But Class just refers to a minimum speed (not maximum or expected performance).

  • Yes, I know. The Class 6 is more expensive, showing that maybe it's higher quality? And the class 6 kingston on mymemory shows the read/write speed as 15MB/s and on the class 10 it shows it as 10MB/s read/write, like stated on many amazon reviews.

EDIT: the Class 6 is also on Amazon, and surprisingly is more expensive than the class 10, best guess is these units are actually more expensive to buy from the supplier.
