  • That's quite a decent deal. Gonna have to talk to some mates and see if they're keen for a random QLD trip!!

  • +1

a decent deal it may be.. but im not a fan of sites that wont let you in (even for a peak) until you surrender your email address…

    • Yep… ANOTHER site run by idiots.

      • You can bypass the email section if you do not wish to subscribe.

We are bringing you some great deals every weekday, so if you do enter your email you then get the newsletter

  • Can't view the deal page. Wants my email to even viewthe site.
Another startup 'daily deal' site that doesn't know how to not be annoying.

  • +2

You can skip the option to enter your email, right under the 'See Today's Deal' button it says skip | sign in | privacy policy. I was able to see the deal fine without entering my email. Annoying that they have that email prompt there yes, but you can get past it easily enough. Surprised many of you didn't see this.

Deal "may" be ok but not willing to give my email just to find out - negged.

    • Read my above comment, you don't have to give your email out.

Daily Escape folk, you might want to do a slight redesign of your site to get rid of that email nonsense if you want people to make the most of your deal on offer!!

      • +1

You just need to hit the refresh button and the deal loads. It's crap but it's a feature a lot of the group buy sites employ.

        • Neil >> "It's crap" …CORRECTOMUNDO BOYO!!
"it's a feature a lot of the group buy sites employ." ….Yeah, others are doing dumb things so it must be ok then??.. DOH!

      • Thanks Puff, did not see your comment until after I posted mine, how can I take back my neg?

        • Go to the votes tab and hit the red button next to your vote.

      • Thanks for the feedback, We launched on 1st July and would like to get more subscriptions to our daily alert email, you can bypass it the first time and you should not be reminded again, depending on your computer settings.

  • This tells you how to deal with the e-mail prompt:

the 'skip' button is pretty easy to see…no need to enter an email address….

may be annoying that it prompts for it, but easy to bypass…

    • looks like its been changed.. the link goes goes straight to the deal now.. when i tried, pressing "skip" earlier, it didnt work…

      • Didn't work for me either. In fact it still doesn't work if I click it again after clearing cookies.

Surfers used to be great to visit…especially from cold winter down south. But my last visit sucked - never back again, now I keep flying right over it and don't stop until I reach Cairns :-)

  • http://www.dailyescape.com.au/national-deal/ is the direct link to the offer. Although I had no problem in skipping the input of my e-mail address when I checked the site a few minutes after the deal was posted on OzBargain.
