It's like comparing GPUs to CPUs

    • it doesnt compare at all
one is a cpu the other is a gpu

    • Not well considering this is a graphics card.

It's better but not as good as the Crucial MX500 1TB SSD

  • Wow they sell AMD card now.

  • -1

I doubt it can beat my Zip drive.

Nothing premium about the MSI cards - every 5700XT review rates MSI as rubbish, with not enough cooling for the VRMs.

Sapphire, Powercolor, Asus and Gigabyte are the brands to go for, if you want a non-reference design.

Asus tuf is the worst of the lot

      • Worse than the MSI EVOKE?

        • +1

Indeed. The VRMs on he Asus ran to dangerous temps.

I think you'll find that applies to Evoke or Mech, but the Gaming X has much improved thermals and noise levels compared to their other models. This one has one of most beefy heatsinks in all 5700 xts

you might want check the Nitro+, Red Devil and Strix before saying "most"

        • +1

That's why I said "one of"

      • Do you know of any benchmark that compares 5700 xt models? I'm tossing up between this one and the gigabyte one but I just want to make sure before I drop all that money on it

  • +1

    This is a good card.
The price on this (which is considered one of the best 5700xt's) makes it hard to decide between this and the 2070 super
If only the AMD drivers were on par.. :/

    • which 5070?

  • https://www.pccasegear.com/products/47840 $609 here, which one would be more reliable to buy from?

    • +1

      That's the non-XT variant

      • oh I didnt even realise there was two different gaming X my mistake

    • Wrong card. That's the non-XT. The 5700XT is $749 from PCCG.

thanks , just brought it and i get a free game :)

      • Hey did you buy from them or someone else? How does one get the game codes?

    • +1

FYI that is AMD's Raise the Game promotion, not MSI's.

  • just pulled the trigger and got this card, how does one get the game code btw?

    • Message FTC computers and ask for one.

  • +1

PSA: FTC is not a participating retailer and you can't get the free game code if you purchase from them.
