    Not store-wide ;)

    • Thanks. :)

  • Will we be able to get this discount in stores?

    • I believe so, at least you can in Melbourne store

  • Perfect, I need more capsules.

  • +3

every accessory they sell is way overpriced.

  • Anyone have a active subscription? Wondering if you can stack this.
Say sign up for the $75/m to get $82.50 (i.e. 10% off) then apply the 15% code to the cart.

    • +1

Yes, it stacks. I'm on the subscription and prices have been marked down 15% on the eStore.

      • Thanks. Time to stock up on the capsules

  • who makes better capsules Nespresso or St.Ali ?

  • Looking for an original nespresso machine (as a gift) for between $100-200. I know nothing about Nespresso (have a HX espresso machine). Any recommendations?

    • +1

VertuoPlus seems a good deal currently. Buy for approx $189, get $100 cashback ;)

      • Cheers. They already have a huge stockpile of original pods so keen to go with an original rather than Vertuo this time around!

I've been using a Citiz and Milk machine for around 5 years now (admittedly mostly on weekends). It's still going strong, I'd assume the updated versions of that would be similar.

I bought my old man an Expert & Milk machine a year or so ago when it was about half price at David Jones. Looks and works great, and he burns through the pods!

In general I would suggest going to classic style pod machines instead of the newer Vertuo. The new pods are basically Nespresso DRM, and I don't believe you can get third party pods of this style yet. The old style pods you can get for next to nothing almost anywhere, including Coles/Woolies, and through trial and error you can find some pretty nice ones.
Apart from a couple of times outside of starter packs, I don't think I've bought pods directly through Nespresso, they're extremely overpriced…

    • Nespresso Essenza Mini - don't need anything fancier than this.

  • Cheers bought a 100 capsules.. for some reason got a free travel mug? (didn't even add it into cart, just appeared)

    • +1

I got that too - it was an addition to the Father's Day promotion I also redeemed. Not sure if you did that promo?

      • +1

        ohh yes, yes i did!

        • +1

Not sure why they did that, but I knew it needed to be redeemed by 30 November so I have been hanging out for an opportunity to stack something. Winning!

      • Which promo was this? Is there a link?

        • I'd also like to know please :)

        • +1

          https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/474026

It's long gone but when you redeemed the capsules in the above offer Nespresso sent another email saying you'd get the free travel mug if you purchased 100 capsules by 30 November.

  • where to get the nesspresso machine with best price? Did price ever go down?

    • depends on the machine

      • looking for machine with milk frother.
There are more variety of capsules for nesspresso than nesscafe

The amount of environmental damage Nespresso is doing is unbelievable.

I am now stay away from them purely due to this

    • +2

They do have the option of bringing the used capsules back to their store. I have done this myself, and I do understand that the vast majority of people don't do this.

      • +2

I do this also, but I just wish there was incentive for people to bring it in…
Recycle 100 pods, 10% off your next order or something?

        • +1

i agree…im surprised they haven't done this already, or at the least offer free postal bags…we lug our empty pods back to a boutique so they can recycle but it;d be good to get something for it.

    • +1

They have many drop off points at florists. I drop mine off mine and they scoop out the coffee grinds and uses it for composting.
I imagine they send the aluminum shells back to Nespresso.

    • Plastic bags, over packaging etc. We have a lot of problems.

    • We turn in all of our pods. Every one. It's not hard to collect them in a bag then drop them off when you return to buy more from the store.
The Nespresso recycling program is a hell of a lot better than all of the plastic pods from Keurig, Woolies, etc etc that go straight into landfill.

  • Is there anyone can help me to choose? I would like to buy 100 capsules to get free shipping.
But not sure which coffee should I buy, I like th 7-10 intensity, but I don’t like acidity. If possible no acidity at all.
    Thanks for help.

    • Suggest you go into a Nespresso store and taste their range but I highly recommend Dharkan from their Intenso range. Very beautiful roasted flavour with only Arabica beans ( = more roasted flavour), whereas Robusta beans bring a more bitter taste and also has more caffeine content (which is why instant coffee is generally made from Robusta beans). In saying that, apparently Robusta has less acidity? In the end, it all comes down to taste though and Dharkan is just right for me as there is no bitterness (intensity rating is 11, just under the most intense one which is Kazaar).

    • If Dharkan sounds too crazy for you, try Arpeggio which is level 9. Still full Arabica beans. If you like intense and a bit of bitterness, Ristretto is another popular choice because it has some Robusta in it.

      • I like Roma and Arpreggio

      • vin021079 probably wont like Ristretto because it is a bit bitter
