  • HD768p is not 4k

    • thanks. updated.

  • Anyone have an opinion on the Panansonic TVs? You don't what much about their LCDs as opposed to their OLEDs here, also have they moved on from their old smarts? Half the streaming apps aren't available on my vt55

    • Non Android “smart” TV’s are hit and miss. Updates, if any, stop pretty soon and you’re left with outdated apps that are no longer supported and stop working. The answer is to get a streaming device like Vodafone TV, Amazon Firestick, or Nvidia Shield.

      • the apps i do have actually get updated, recently had both sbs and youtube receive updates, just no stan or amazon at all for some reason

btw have a vtv, great piece of kit

    • Love and trust the brand. Always been great for me though admittedly I haven't owned one since the days of plasma…

      100% confidence in them though

      • Yeah tv wise my vt55 is excellent

Not sure if a 55" is able to fit in a Golf?

It will lying flat on top of car

    • It definitely won't in the box IMO

      • +1

        I've put a 58" in the box in a corolla…

        • Wow how manage that?

          • @MuddyClear: Seats folded down. Shit sorry it was my Focus not Corolla. But all the same, the Corolla actually has more boot space tbh.

            • +2

@CVonC: That would be an older generation Corolla, cos' the current generation (2018 onwards) has ridiculously tiny boot space.

              • +1

@PinzVidz: Yup! 2005. The Focus is 2016. And yeah the current gen Corolla boot is pretty pathetic. It's like the smallest out of the competition! You made me look up the size of the 2005 Corolla boot and it's actually smaller than my Focus' boot (289L vs 316L). Yet it still feels and seems bigger. My Focus and current gen Corolla have a full size spare tyre. And the Focus' boot is smaller than a Golf's too.

    • With the seats folded down, perhaps.

      • It should be safe enough to transport horizontally if in original box as that is well protected.

        • J wouldnt bet on that. I have seen and heard of plenty of LCDs crack under their own weight laid flat with no external damage

          • +1

@Jackson: mate of mine transported his 75" TCL flat on its back without box, no dramas ><

            • +1

@CVonC: Still a huge risk, no one here should be taking. someone has probably survived jumping out of a plane with no parachute, shouldmt be a thing to do though, and i have a pretty high tolerance for risk usually

  • Any idea how much to ship 65" to sydney?

The gx600a is a steal. From what I can gather it's one of two in Panasonic's current lineup which uses a VA panel (the other possibly being their top of the line 75" LED LCD, the GX880A).

    P8M cheaper on ebay with pitch20. Example 65P8M $870-20% + $40 delivered

  • P8M 50in was recently $380 at GG and much better priced. I didn't downvote only because it's not on sale atm

  • I picked up the 55p8m for $508 through the gg deal. Very very happy. Came from the Sony kdl 50inch dick Smith deal posted here boxing day 2014

  • Is the PANASONIC 65" TH65GX600A 4K LED SMART TELEVISION showing as $989 (instead of $850) for other people? Am I missing something to get it for $850. Thanks.

    • Yeah the price was increased - up to $989 now.

You can get it on eBay though for $841 + delivery for eBay Plus members
