Is this coupon for $10 off the listed price? Or $10 for the item?

    • -3

      $10 for the item
      thank you

      • +2

It seems to only discount $10 off the item.

      • yep as per ampersand its $10 off on my checkout.

  • Does the camera connect to wifi? Thus requiring only power connection?

    • -4
      • Camera connects to router via Ethernet cable (not wifi).
      • Video is recorded on SD card on the camera itself
      • It has some female-type power connection.
      • +1

The LAN cable part just looks like its for initial setup to be fair.

        • Yes for initial setup.

      • Camera connects to router via Ethernet cable (not wifi).

Are you sure about that? I have a similar (older) genbolt outdoor camera, and it uses wifi (hence the antennae). Why else would it be described as a "Wireless WiFi Home Surveillance IP Camera" and have "ENHANCED Wi-Fi".

It has some female-type power connection.

Yeah, that's where you plug the power cable (provided) into.

Really not sure why you bothered to comment, when you don't seem to have any actual knowledge of the product…

        • -2

that's where you plug the power cable

          No shit Sherlock

          • @MuddyClear: Sorry Watson, but you appeared confused by it when referring to it as "some female-type power connection".

Pretty sure most things that have a power cord have a "female-type power connection" for it to plug into. Check the bottom of your phone or the side of your laptop.

            • @NigelTufnel:

when referring to it as "some female-type power connection"

That's because I don't know the actual name of this type of connection hence "female-type power connection", but please enlighten us all Sherlock.

              • @MuddyClear: OK then, just not sure why you even mentioned it in your dot points of interest.
You plug the power cable into the wall like anything else, then plug the other end into that socket. Pretty standard.

                • @NigelTufnel: Because Yamun121 was asking about power connection Sherlock.

                  • @MuddyClear: Mate, give up. They were asking about wifi. Whether all you need to connect is the power cable (who cares what type), or power connection as well as ethernet connection.
You interpreted it wrong, and gave the wrong answers, hence why you were down-voted and your comment is hidden, so you don't steer anyone else wrong.

                    • @NigelTufnel: You sound contradictory. As explained to Yamun121 it required power and Ethernet connection (initial setup). Don’t you have something better to do than shoot down helpers here with your pointless rebuttals.

                      • @MuddyClear: Righto mate. No one ever asked about initial setup. So your comment just added confusion to the simple issue of whether it connects to wifi…
But obviously you think you were being helpful in some way.

                        • @NigelTufnel: The only one confused was Yamun121 when it clearly states in the description it’s a wifi camera. But it was CLARIFIED it also needed Ethernet for initial setup and of course a power connection! On the topic of helpful I can say your comments weren’t and probably discourages people from commenting when you’re so quick to ATTACK.

  • For that price I would rather go with Reolink
