  • Its showing as $999 at checkout for me. Am I doing something wrong?

    • +3

Not sure why, they also just added the glow as well. I just saw this on TV advertised for $888 10 minutes ago, so can't be a mistake.

    • +1

Might need to wait until tomorrow.

      • not available

        • It was when I checked earlier.

  • +4

New variant ? S10 note? Haha

    • +1

      Fixed ta.

  • +9

boy it'd be good if they did a decent special on the note 10+…

  • I was at JB few days ago and one of the staff said they are having the Note 10 deal too for around the same price

  • +5

i rather die than buy it from Hardly normal.Price match at office works

  • +20

No one wants the gimped note 10. We want the N10+!!!

    • +3

For $200 difference yeah I would go for N10+ which is very unlikely, but for $800 difference N10 is much better value

    • +1

Same here. I'd rather an s10 plus over note 10.

      • +1

        why

        • +2

Headphone Jack and SD Card Slot would make me choose the S10+.

    • +2

I find the Note 10+ too large for one-handed use. The Note 10 isn't too much larger than an S10, so I much prefer it.

    • Except people who value portability and pocketability in a mobile device.

    Go harvey go!

Is this marketed towards Asians with that price?

    • +4

      Asians want $666

      • +2

        $444 to be exact

      • +2

Erm, 8 sounds like wealth in Chinese and 6 sounds like flow. Pretty sure 8 is superior.

"8 is the luckiest number in Chinese culture"

        • +5

6 is also a luck number in Chinese culture and 666 is cheaper than 888 lol

          Source: I'm Chinese

          • +2

@lawbee: 6 is a lucky number but not the luckiest. Can you imagine telling your relatives during during CNY that you got this phone for $888 and you whip out the receipt as proof. Whole family will be blessed. That experience is definitely worth more than the $222 difference

            • @azngamer: You are really serious

              • @lawbee: No I am not serious. I am not superstitious at all and I just like saying these stuff ironically because I have relatives that really believe in these kinds of stuff. I have lived in houses that have 4's in them without caring

            • @azngamer: what about 99 9

          • @lawbee:

            666 is cheaper than 888

The stereotype is obviously true. Mad maths skills.

        • Erm, 8 sounds like wealth in Chinese

This is actually not true. It rhymes with wealth but doesn't sound like it and would never be mistaken for it.

          The superstition is real though.

          • @lostn: Given the language structure compared to English, sounding the same is close enough explanation to provide people that don't speak the language enough context for the significance of 8

            • @azngamer: i don't dispute that. But I think asians themselves should stop propagating the superstition between themselves because they would know 8 and wealth are very different words the same as english speaking people would not say 'ball' sounds like 'fall'.

So many words in chinese rhyme that it's silly these two words are said to sound alike when other rhyming words don't.

      • +5

We Asians will only pay $8!

    • +1

Wouldn't surprise me. Was in Malaysia a few years ago around Chinese New year and stores all had specials where the price contained a lot of 8s.

I remember looking at Harvey Norman and basically everything ended in xxxx.88.

      Australia is the new china.

  • +1

Is this the dual sim version?

    • +2

Pretty sure(Australian stock at least) That only the 10+ has dual sim.

    • +1

No, it says single SIM in specifications.

    • +2

Pretty sure it's not. Otherwise I'd be all over this deal like a bad rash.

  • +1

    This or Huawei P30 Pro?

    • +2

I would say this, unless P30 pro could be bought for $100 less

    • +2

this, latest model, ridiculous price being price 4 months old

    • -3

Depends if you want Google maps on your phone (Samsung) or not (huawei)

      • +1

P30 pro has all the Google apps.

    • +1

      This

    • -6

This, plus you know your money isn't going to the communist nazi party of China

    • I have the p30, it's good but not great. Battery life is excellent though.

  • Is note 10 dual sim or single?

    • Aussie stock only Single Sim for Note 10.

  • Hopefully OW won't price match so we can get an extra 5%, or maybe Amazon can price match this.

  • +2

Officeworks price beat the 888 for me just now.
The Harvey website had 888 for a short period and i called my local to check stock. I guess i mightve been lucky because i called ahead.

    • Wait so you called them today, and they did a price beat it even when the deal isn't live yet?

      • +2

Yeh so what happened was it was 888 on HN website. I called up and checked stock and whether theyd beat the 888. All was good.

Rocked up to store, spoke to same guy, brought up website, it was 999. He said it was fine, checked that HN had stock and did the price beat for 888.

        • Thanks, so that's $888 - 5% then?

          • +1

@DardyMate: Yep. $843.60 to be exact.

            • @nguyta: Cheers. I got rejected with this, but good thing JB HiFi did $899 on this. Got this for $854.05 - still not too bad!

  • Is this version water proof ?

    • Water proof? Really, or you mean water resistant?

      • Yep really, can I go swimming in a pool and film under water ?

        • +1

Wow. I guess the ip (ingress protection) rating should be displayed somewhere.

        • -1

No that not advisable. A sibling of mine went swimming with an iPhone 11 and had to payout additional cash for another phone replacement.

    • get a gopro instead

  • +1

Just bought from the Samsung education store yesterday for $1049 & was delivered today. 🙁 (Didn't open yet)

    • Return it, or ask for refund of price difference with ow $843.60

    • +2

Refund. 14 days no questions asked refund I think.

      • +1

Thank you. Just called and initiated a return. Need to take it to the post office with the return email they'll be sending. Refund will take 14 days.

    • Ask and tell us

    • +1

Only the Note 10+ 4g variant when purchased outright.

  • This or s10+ IF same price?

    • +3

      Note+ > 10+ >> Note > 10

  • +1

    Bought 4, Xmas gifts sorted!

  • Anyone can suggest a good case for this phone?

    • +2

I always go with a Spigen case.

  • Wait 1year and it's $600

    • Used Note 9 is selling at $630 with 12 months warranty atm.

  • $850 at Amazon

    • Don't forget cashback.

  • OW has matched it to $850.

Now I need to go to JB HIFI and get the difference refunded as price match.

  • +1

    Has anyone received the phone?

    • Im not , after 4 day and they are not even ship it yet, OMG

      • I got email that said there is a delay! Should buy from other store. No more HN!

        • They don't send me any email for delay, much better and cheaper if order with Amazon, no more HN
