we have cpa amex each, and 1 westpac issued amex so we have registered 3 times and will pay $250.00 each to the telstra bill since our bill is about $175 each month. so we should be getting 1 month free on telstra bill :)

  • I found out if you come out from that program and enter again. The REGISTER botton will disappear in the same computer. I try another computer it come up again. That is why it not work only registered. Anyone try again?

    • Yes u r right! It seems like the AMEX website will trace cookies and disable u from registering once u registered once. I have used 3 computers to register 3 different cards.

Does BigW sell gift cards to use in Woolworths?

    • good idea. anyone can confirm the BigW sells it?

      • +1

yes they definately do. You can also use them for fuel and at dan murphys.

        • I got told that you could not add fuel discount vouchers with gift card payment when paying for fuel? Can anyone configm that?

        • some_one_some_where - I've never had any problem.

That said, there are three different types of petrol station to consider

          Caltex Woolworths
          Woolworths Caltex
          Caltex.

The Caltex Woolworths ones will generally accept gift cards as well as discount dockets but wont accept discount dockets for LPG.

The Woolworths caltex ones are owned by woolworths (they are not franchises etc) and will accept gift cards and fuel dockets for both petrol and LPG. These ones are you best bet.

The caltex only stores tend not to accept gift cards at all nor discount dockets.

        • muzzano, Can you (anyone else) please confirm or provide link on website for the purchase of the Woolworths gift card please, as I cannot seem to find it on BigW online. Many thanks!

        • can the Woolworths gift card be purchased online?

and then sent with the free woolies shipping offer here?
          http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/49086

  • I bought a meile dish washer from harvey norman and still havent got the $50 from last time :( why…

    • Miele purchases (apart from their vacuum cleaners) are processed by Miele - Harvey Norman just acts as an agent for them. So I wouldn't hold my breath on getting the $50 unfortunately (just like I missed out on the 5x bonus points too sigh).

      • +1

umm . amex will honour that. agent or not.

i always buy from those stores that lease space in David Jones and get the amex bonuses.

        • how & when will amex honour it?
:( who should I contact to ask for the missing $50 …

        • id call amex and follow it up. their customer support is the best. just tell them you registered, made the purchase, and didnt get the bonus.

  • Nice, didn't notice AAMI was in the list - registered my CBA AMEX Awards card and will pay my AAMI car insurance this week, cant complain about getting $50 off paying for something I was going to pay for anyway. :)

    • +1

try to get a new quote and you can even register to get 10 bonus point for every $1 when you purchase new policy with aami. Must register first : http://www.americanexpress.com.au/10xaami

mine much cheaper when I re-apply instead of renew.
Wonder why. Even though I have "Platinum" rating with AAMI lolz.

  • Energy Australia retail customer business was sold to TRUenergy. http://www.energyaustralia.com.au/Common/About-EnergyAustral…

While the payment details remain the smae do you think Amex would still accept the payment as to Energy Australia?

  • So who is gonna buy some gift cards from bigW and chance not getting $50 back??

    • lots will. The chances are minimal, people did it on the previous deal. And the IT systems are unlikely to support Amex being able to check.

  • For those people who want to register their second Amex card (e.g. different card number), all you need to do is to open the same webpage with a different browser. For example, if you registered with Firefox, then the second time you want to register, just use Internet Explorer to go to the website and it will allow you to register again with a different card number.

At least it's what happened to me…

    • Or you can just remove the cookie under amexnetwork and go again.

  • Has anyone tried splitting their purchases into two transactions? For example say I was to buy a $500 item, would I get $100 back if I pay $250 with one Amex card and $250 with another Amex card?

    • good idea, I've also wondered this myself

    • that possible if you register both of your amex card and if the merchant allow you to split the transaction as well.

  • The strange thing is, my wife's print out of participating stores has Freedom Furniture but I no longer able to find this in the listing. What happened?

  • do i just register and spend $250. Do i have to send in the receipt or do something before they send the $50?

  • I purchased a fridge at the good guys last week and just registered now - will I get the rebate or did I need to register beforehand?

    • you can try, but who knows.

  • .

  • Here in WA, the West Australian newspaper has a program that you can sign up for to receive special offers. Today an email came and you get $25 store credit for every $100 you spend at the Good Guys. Pretty damn good if you ask me, espcially if you spend $300 on your Amex. You get $50 back from Amax and $75 store credit. That's nearly a third back. Going there on Friday to see if there is anything I "need".

    • voteoften is there a link to this program or is it only if you buy a hard copy?

    • $300 * 2/3 = $200 … $300 - $125 =

  • just got mine this afternoon. I put in a single 4gb ram and low-p 6450 g/c on it. so far so good. Any one want but the org 1gb memory from HP server? $15 please email me. [email protected]

  • Looks like enrollments have now closed. I received the following notification when attempting to register:

    'Sorry
Unfortunately the maximum number of Cardmembers have already enrolled for this offer.'

    • I still got "you are now enrolled" and an email confirming this as of tonight…

      • I retract my original statement. Appeared to work just now.

I was attempting to register from behind a proxy the other day, so that may have been the cause.

        Thanks!

  • Didnt work, got the 'invite only' spiel, and yes it's a corporate card

  • thanks! op

  • amex promo offers are great. i wonder if amex qantas and David jones amex cards qualify for this promo?

  • Didn't receive anything from the last promotion, my card is issued by ANZ, shall I call the bank?

    • My card was issued by ANZ and I sent emails to AMEX twice regarding last promotion, and no responses at all.

There are complaints all over in this post: http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/49503

I lost my trust to them and give the stupid $50 up.

      • you should get your $50 money for anz etc i emailed amex network a few weeks ago regarding the wifes card and they only just replied saying they had some problems with the last offer but a registered money order was on its way. thus be patient. btw Lumo engergy are giving away 10 000 amex points and you get 10 x MR points per dollar too. are they owned by Engery australia? wish they were on the list as this amex or their virgin velocity 10k points offer is tempting to do a switch. I wonder if i can get both offers at the same time? http://www.lumoenergy.com.au/why-join-us/packages/lumo-expre…

  • anyone JUST sign up (only got my amex card yesterday.

How do i know i'm one of the first 7500 to get redemption? Do i just spend and hope i get it back? Or is there a way to know defiantly before?
