Official website is a joke. But the product and the official support when you have questions/issues is actually quite good.
So it only works on radio remotes? No IR function?
The opposite it is IR only
That is super unclear on even the manufacturers website. I had to go into a How to Program FAQ on the website to even see that.
Doesn't work with "radio" evaporative AC-type systems.
Works with reverse cycle units where you need a line of sight to the IR receiver. Those units are two-way IR though.

How can you tell? I thought the Sky model is the 2nd generation.
Well the picture shows an all black version. AFAIK the version 2 is black and white like the picture above.

There's no other technical differences, just the color. :)
