wow, whole Australia will not sleep tonight. Thanks OP, wait for this deal!!

  • Thank you for saving me over $100. I purchased the cam kit for $729 a few minutes ago and didn't even think to check if the echo offer was still active. Cancelled it and repurchased it with the dot.

  • +1

    This or Arlo pro 2?

    • +2

I will say this, owned a set of 2 and very happy with them. I already paid for another set of 4 just now
The fact that I don't have to take them down every few weeks to recharge the battery already won me over.

      • +1

You had Arlo pro 2? THey last 4 months for me. The app is much better than Eufycam also.

  • +2

    ordered, thanks OP

people ordered this last week for $838 last week from amazon

    https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/500007

    • I bought this yesterday at 2pm!! Damn it do you think they will honor this price to me now? Would anyone have the screenshots of this pricing?

  • i may only need two, but 4 set take most advantage of this offer.

    • If you're interested in selling a single camera at a decent price let me know. :)

I currently have the 2 camera set but want 1 more additional camera.

  • great find!!

  • +1

    showing o/s

  • Weird, the shopback plug in somehow causes issue to reload the page. So when I went to checkout and pay, then it shows issue with the Eufy camera in cart, then it showed out of stock :( Noooo

  • Link no show

  • OOS already!!!

  • I ordered literally 5 mins ago probably got the last one of them

  • hopefully amazon restock! i took too long researching xD

  • i was considering whether should i get set 2 or 4, and oos.

  • Not applying the 20% off.
    How do I activate it?

    • +1

This was my experience exactly, so I missed out on the 4. I’ve now been trying to buy the 3 and the discount doesn’t apply, despite following amazon’s instructions.

      • +1

I've bought it anyway. And now raising an issue with live chat hoping they will refund the difference.

        • Customer chat are being a pain. Got fobbed to an Echo specialist. Told them that it wasn't applied. They think that the new price is the discounted price. I tell them that I can pay that price WITHOUT an echo. They can't compute.

I've been fobbed off to Marketing and PRomotions. who will contact me in the morning.

I've got screenshots of the ad, and the camera listed there.

          • @schwinn: that's the reason it shows oos so quick, they do not want to sell cheap

          • @schwinn: Fight the good fight, my man. I hope it works out for you.

            • @Citrus: its OK I have screen shots of the eufycam right now also, part of their black friday deal showing it's $649 (3 cam).

I gave them the link to this page to prove that others had successfully gotten the 20% discount, but they couldn't open it. How annoying.

        • No success? Anyone else tried this way?

          • @WaKkO1: No luck yet. Waiting for their team to start work

            • +2

@schwinn: I contacted them for the 3rd time last night, at midnight. This time I called them up, told them I had called twice previously, and was forwarded to the Echo team, who then said that my issue would be forwarded to the marketing and promotions team but they were only available during business hours, that they would contact me within 24 hours, but it has been 6 days (4 business days) since purchasing, and no response from them.

The rep at the first point of contact was very understanding, he said it was clear from my invoice that there was no promotional discount applied to the total. He said he would discuss the issue with the Echo rep and put me on hold for about 15ish minutes.

He then came back and told me that the echo rep said my item (3 cams) was not part of the deal. I told him to refer to screenshots I had sent during my earlier cases, and there was a screenshot showing my camera listed under the promotional smart home items.

He then spent another 15 minutes on hold talking to the echo team and finally came back telling me the echo team would be dealing with me. The echo team took over, and after 3 minutes worth of conversation they proceeded to process my refund of 20% off the $649 price.

Total call time was about 50 minutes. But finally got there.

  • sad :(

  • +1

makes the $800 i paid at TGG look like a shitty deal !!!!

  • OMG, so quick…

  • back in stock from amazon but 999 :(.

  • +2

4x and 3x cameras there but price isn't updating in cart =(

  • Just so you know Kogan is selling camera by it self for 219

  • +1

Damn…. knew i shouldnt of gone to sleep!

    • It's ok, at least you had a good sleep.I had heaps of time to finish the purchase. But end up with nothing cos can not decide which set to go until they stop this promo. Anyway JB had set 2 for 499, and Amazon set 3 649 is not too bad. Plus Kogan had camera itself for 219.

  • If these are battery, do you take them down to charge ? How often? Wouldn’t you be better with wired/powered ones if owning your home or people don’t want this for installation complexity ?

    • Almost once a YEAR. That's from their ads. Could expect 9-10 months at least depend how often it's been triggered I believe

      • this looks awesome, the thermal, AI, 2 way audio, home base 60 day storage. Does it upload to cloud storage for free or something you need to pay for?

The cameras look really stylish (and valuable), I'm thinking a thief would like to steal those quite badly…they seem to just clip on??

        • Local free storage. But the rang seems a little disappointed if you own a big house

        • You can screw them in. They have an anti theft alarm with siren

    • +1

My back door cam has only lasted a few months from full charge however, its frequently picking up motion and recording due to the way I've set it up. I cbf creating a schedule of when I'm home/away.
Easy enough to unscrew and re charge.

So I've had a really bad experience with Amazon this morning re this item. Or more specifically the 3 pack.

I saw this deal about 6am this morning. But all sold :(

Then had the idea of checking the 3-pack. Yes it was discounted as well to $649 (so less 20% made it $519.20). I added it to my cart along with an echo. Discount didn't apply. Other things worked. Actually every other thing in their list worked so thought I should order and chase them for the missed promotion being applied.

Fast forward - 1.5hrs on the phone. Them arguing the discount was already applied (i.e. $799 down to $649 - that 18.8% not 20%). I explained numerous times that other items on Black Friday specials still had the Smart home discount in addition. Even gave examples.

After my call being disconnected I noticed that the price had now jumped to $749. And the promotion still didn't work.

Called them again. Same argument. Going no where. Then they asked for proof that it had ever been $649.

Wow. They clearly knew it had been $649 but hoped I didn't have proof.

Luckily I took a screen shot of the whole thing with the 3-pack listed at $649 in the part 2 of the promotion earlier this morning.

Once I sent that through and demanded it be escalated to a manager did they agree to refund the extra $129.80.

OMFG can't believe the experience this morning.

    • Hey, I had similar problems this morning $649 listed, however, I didn't go ahead with the purchase as I could not get the discount to show up at checkout. They are supposed to be looking into it (after a chat with online chat at 7:30am this morning) for me and emailing when the issue is resolved. I had not realised they have since put the price up. Could I have that screenshot because if they have put the price up, they might get back to me and say ok you can check out now but at the more expensive price.

Made me half hour late for work trying to get it to work.. there was no option to export the chat either where they said they would cover it for me. I should have just checked out I guess and fought for the refund like you

    • Hey mate any chance of getting the screen shot for $649?

    • heya, could you please share the screenshot of the part 2 $649.

I slept on this hoping amazon would fix the error lol.

    • Hi tonydav - what escalation path did you take? I don't have much time to spend on the phone, but live chat just keep routing me from:
general support > echo division > wait for Marketing and Promotions to respond.

And now I have to wait for them to contact me back.

    • Screenshot that I sent them here

I just requested a callback with the reason "missed promotion".

Really nothing happened until I asked to speak to the ladies manager. Then she got "special approval" for the discount. It's like they're on a bonus for everyone they don't have to pay.

      • Legend thanks for the screen shot

  • I got the three camera system and they live chatsed me saying they will manual apply discount later
    https://www.amazon.com.au/gp/product/B07SF7WPTJ/ref=ox_sc_ac…

    • Dam it, why didnt they tell me that at 7:30 this morning

    • +2

Did you pay $749 or $649?

  • 749 then 20% off

    • Thanks. I’m chasing 649 then 20% off

  • Amazon fixed the 20% discount issue now. Added 3 set price with an echo dot, price down to $599 ($635 incldue echo) at checkout.

    • Still a good deal, just not the absolute bargain these were at the original prices.

      • Yes, it is still a good deal given TGG and Officeworks are selling $830 at the moment.

  • So just calculating backwards from the $619.20 would be ($619.20-$36)/.8 would make the original cost of the 4 pack $729. So $20 less than they're now selling the 3 pack on the same promotion.

  • So they have rejected me on the live chat, said they would transfer me to a manager but then couldnt. refused to budge, trying to get it for the 649 - 20%

  • Brought the 749 with. 20% off anyway. With cashback and some discount gift card. Still better than I thought.

    • They are selling fast. I just bought one and now is only one unit left.

  • Can someone please upload a receipt of the cameras. I could use it as proof for price protection with 28 degrees please. Thanks

  • Does anyone have the screen shot of the 4 cameras at the reduced price? I bought yesterday after lunch at $839 - shattered and hoping I can get them to fix it up.

  • by the way, how long do you guys receive cashback tracking conformation say from shopback? thanks, i know it says 4 days.

  • just bought this, not as good as the original deal but better than the current lot I found.

    https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Eufy-T8833CD2-1080p-2C-Wire-Free…

    • Good price. 609 for 4 cameras.

      • This looks like the gen 2 ones.. anyone know the difference between the gen 2 and gen 3

  • If anyone decided not to use it, can some kind hearted ozbargainer sell me theirs..cheers.

  • anyone been able to get the Google Nest Hub support working?

I've linked the accounts and devices but whenever I try to stream it, it just says unable to stream.

    • What's your broadband like? Do you know if it needs to access the internet to stream? ADSL will struggle due to poor upload, and being on the same network means you will use bandwidth to both upload and download.
