  • I have this, the day and night quality is excellent. It’s very sensitive to motion though, even after turning the sensitivity down.

    • might be a stupid question but is this wireless? if so is it 5ghz or 2.4?

      • It is and runs off 2.4GHz. Just need to plug in power and pair up.

        • thanks, last question can i record to a nas with this or is it purely just live?

          • @AliensStoleMyMoney: I don't think so, I believe it only records to the cloud. It's a $4/mo subscription for 14 days of recording.

    • How big is the power cord/usb (if it comes with one)? Xiaomi from memory didn't have the usb included

      • About 3 metres.

  • Can these record video for later viewing? Do you need a cloud plan or can save to network?

  • No mention of micro SD card data storage

  • I'm using the older TPLink NC220 cameras. Officially it also only records to tp-cloud, or view live using TP camera app.

Unofficially, I'm recording the https video stream onto Synology Surveillance Station ;)
And still able to view on the TP app

Should work for this newer models too, I'm gonna get one to try

    • How do you get that software? Is it only packaged with some hardware they offer?

      • All Synology NAS comes with 2 licence to record from IPCamera streams with their Surveillance Station module.
TPLink isn't one of the officially supported ones, but you can easily set up a custom https stream for recording.
