    If it makes you feel any better, the 3700X only has 2 CXX's with 4 cores each.
    This one has 4 CXX's with 3 cores each.
    So for quad-core workloads which need to be synchronized, the 3700X is better due to inter-cxx latency.
    This is noticeable running the PS3 emulator for example.

        The 3800x is just a binned 3700x. It's not worth paying 20% extra for a few percent increase.
