We're gonna need a bigger boat

      • Lol imagine Jaws on this thing.. wear the brown pants (:

  • Getting to the point its worth considering over the 75R8. Though, i think too big for my living space (blasphemy!).

    • I think 65" is too big for my living space so no shame in saying that 85" is!

There is no such thing. I have a 100" projector and is about 4m away from me 😆

  • Local pick up only?

    • Bring a truck

  • Probably 500 Watts or more

    • Slightly more than my 50in plasma

  • Will it fit in the back of my BMW 530i Touring M Sport Package - https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/496548?

    • +7

Well, if you pay for the delivery instead
You can save the TV and $79800 as well

      • totally agree with u lol

Never mind. Dang, was prob the only decent black Friday big tv deal

  • Really nice price on a FALD TV of that size. Although we have no idea what performance is like.

  • I read somewhere this weighs 70 KG ?

May need a special wall mount..

    • +7

Just use this as a wall?

  • Any reviews of this?

    • Yep, it’s bloody awesome haha!

      • Lol, legit? Got one?

        • Yeh I picked up yesterday and installed last night and watched The Irishmen on Netflix and it was epic

          • @tyleralberti: Sweet congrats! How are the blacks? Any idea how many dimming zones?

            • @steve84: That's racist!

              • @Ulysses31: I rate the blacks, colours and white balance of equal importance

            • +1

@steve84: 250 zones ultra local dimming. It’s really good. I was really surprised when I watched in the dark last night. I hadn’t seen one of these on display anywhere just bought it based on the 250 zones I read about.

              • @tyleralberti: I believe the stand can be set up in a narrow position. Do you have it set up this way and, if so, what is the distance from foot end to foot end? Thanks.

                • +1

@Ozstache: Correct you can have them set in the centre position, Id say end to end its about 900mm for that position, when set to the wider setting, it is closer to 1700mm and my tv bench is 1800mm long and it would have been a bit too close for my liking, plus using the centre position stand helps spread the load more evenly across the width of the tv.

  • Shame its pick up only.

  • I decided on the 75r8 for the quantum dots which gives better colours. I would say without putting them next to each other there will be no one noticing any difference.

I got the 75r8 for 2100 delivered good guys eBay and the 85r7 is around 2800 good guys eBay.

The bottom line between the 2 sets is you either have quantum dots or Full array lighting.

    Can't lose for the price
