Enjoying the two I got. They sound better than the mini and it's nice to have a photo frame.

    • I just love visual feedback- can see what it's hearing when I say it and stuff like the weather and visual timers are super helpful.

Pretty pls someone please post the MAX deal if they can find it, so far no luck for me.

How often will you use the camera realistically? Really stoked with my black friday Nest Hub

      • It works well as a security device

Its just another way for Google to spy on you, prefer no cameras

I use Camera all the time to talk to my oldies in interstate. I don't need one which can only voice talk, then I might as well use my phone.
If you worried about google spying on you, might as well stop using your phone.

        • I don't have an issue with google dude. Like I mentioned above, I accepted defeat a while back. Once we realised what was going on, it was virtually too late and they had enough info.

Though I was also waiting on the Max but I'm mainly going to use it for music, recipes, live traffic & maps, & pictures so price outweighed camera in my situation.

          • @ExtraSalt: I introduced the Lenovo version to Senior facility and lot of happy campers there. Family can see each other. This is like next level of picture frame for them.

Due to voice control, most can ask question from bed without need to getting off.

@boomramada: Ye that's such a good idea mate. I want to do the same with my parents too but I know I wouldn't stop getting Duo phonecalls from them looking to talk to the little ones all day and night lol

I want the max for the extra screen space for photos

  • Echo 5 is still on sale as an option with a camera but the google mini is a great for a photo frame and better than a mini for sound

  • Am getting echo show 5 free as part of Amazon Bose headphone deal. Is google hub better than echo show 5?

Am not sure how good is echo show searching the web

    • google nest hub has larger screen, higher screen resolution, better search engine, looks better too. But echo show 8 is coming out in Australia, i would pick that one over google nest hub.

Ok thanks. But google search and YouTube is a big bonus right against echo?

I'd probably prefer the Lenovo 7" one instead since it also has the Video cam inbuilt for video calls for about the same price.

    • Yeh that model is surprisingly the similar to the Nest Hub, same software and everything + a camera.
