had hosting with them, but either way their customer service sucked. No bandwidth they stretch it out like you wouldn't believe. Double charged me for domains (took ages for them to source the mistake :/ )

        Overall me no like

    • They'll lose money on this as long as you don't renew or get hosting… I don't need another domain but getting it anyway.

  • ^^ What happened? And a +ve from me, seems like a really good deal.

I've been with Go Daddy for nearly 7 years, their UI is SH*T and Customer Service Atrociously SLOW !, I moved one of my domains over to Netfirms and will move the other in 2yrs time. NEVER AGAIN WILL I GET PULLED BY CHEAP PRICES !

    • Does the UI really matter? Once a domains set up its pretty much a set and forget thing. I spend maybe 5 minutes setting the domain name up initially and thats it.

It's not THAT horrible given how rarely you need to look at it.

Poor service may be a reason to leave however.

      • Oh yes it does my DEAR friend ! If you use Custom DNS it will irritate the HELL out of you, not responsive and takes very long to complete the task, let alone propagate the frekin thing ! Private Nameservers dnt frekin go there, I have a few domains and a few VPSs for my websites, only reason i choose GoDaddy was the PRICE !

  • GODADDY FTL..

  • Why are there hot chicks all over the site and an old man… GoSugarDaddy?

This is an excellent price. GoDaddy are renowned for unethical and illegal behaviour, however, so it's in your best interests to:

    • transfer the domain immediately to a better registrar (or at least get your authorisation code immediately)
    • don't accept any add-ons or features at all (even free privacy).

Believe me, they suck big time.

and don't forget the automatic charges that you have to deactivate after you have sgined up for your domain name.

I signed up for a web address and after the first month got a bill for some charge for around $5.

WTF?!?! some unneccesary crap that I didn't want and didn't need.

I just make sure I don't have any payment information stored with them. There is no way they can charge me for anything I don't authorise.

  • It DIDN'T work for us!

The desired .COM domain was AVAILABLE

We added it to cart OK

We TRIED to apply the (above) code, but it said:

"The promo code you entered is invalid, expired, or ineligible for the items you are purchasing"

…Needless to say: We DIDN'T buy our chosen .COM domain (disappointed)

    • It must have expired already.

It was working yesterday for users above, at least my post has helped some people. It seems the code expired midnight 5th August US time which means my deal was valid for maybe 15 hours. Sorry you missed out. I'm not sure expiration after the fact is a valid reason for a negative

Keep an eye out for future promo codes from GoDaddy. They are often posted here on OzB.
