I can only comment on their name. Sounds like a Christian youth group.

      • +3

        Sounds like a funeral service

    • Yeah it's pretty ordinary. If name was just Circle it would be a lot better

If name was just Circle it would be a lot better

        They needed that extra edge.

      • +1

I think Circle it would be more confusing.

    • It's actually from Singapore.

      • the noodles?

      • probably founded by some disgruntled ex Singtel techos waiting for their redundancy payout. At the end they might buy them out?

You don't choose the Circles.Life, the Circles.Life chooses you.

    • +3

T and C's say : 100GB data allocation is in the form of +80GB Bonus Data on top of the 20GB Monthly Plan. The 20GB allocation is pro-rated for the first month to the day you activate your SIM card

    Optus Network

    • -2

Worse than optus network. Optus and even catch have fast and more reliable connectivity than Circles.

      • than Circles.

        *Circles.Life

      • +2

It is the exact same network.

        • +1

Yes, same network but they definitely doesn't get the same service and speed.
Drop outs which never happen on optus happen on circles and a touch slower.

I was on telstra, a friend is on optus and I have a catch connect sim that we compared with.

          • @8azinga: I've been using them and don't have any issues.
You also have to consider the price. You can't expect it the be a top of the shelf offering, but from my experience so far, I've got nothing to complain about.

            • @ph81: They don’t support VoLTE, so when ever you make a call your reception drops back to 3G which make for poor quality calls, and good luck trying to use the net whilst in call

              • @antik: I did forget to mention that I'm using them purely for data. Beats the hell out of NBN.

  • The $18 a month for 20GB with unlimited calls and sms looks good too.
Any downsides to using these guys? I am currently with Telstra on $50 plan.

    • +1

They use Optus network. So not as good for regional. In the cities it varies, Optus actually gets better reception and faster speeds (like 250mb per second) where I am

      • mb ??

      • +1

I'm on the 4 months/20gb/m free plan and they keep trying to charge me $10 for an extra 20gb each month even though I use less than 2gb a month.

    • +3

I have been on this network since the last 12 months deal and somehow the data got used up really quick. But since 100gb is more than enough it is still acceptable.

My partner is using the 20GB plan and not even half a month her data is already at 12GB. Probably you should keep an eye out for the data in the app if you use the 20GB one.

      • Really? I'm on the same plan and i'm actually trying to see if i can use up all 100GB for this month and so far I still have 88GB left and I've been watching YT/NBA and other scientific videos lol. I even use it to download my app updates. Been really happy with it so far.

        • You should also use it to upload your photos and videos to cloud services.

          • @Trishool: That's actually true… I've set it up to do it on wifi only.. I'll give that a go.

      • +1

Same thing happened to me. Circles calculated usage is more than double what i would normally use and also what my phone says i used for the same period

    • Ported over this month. Only had one dropout during the storm in Brisbane. Speeds decent in city.

Support is shoddy but they help out eventually. Tried constantly through their web chat. Usually 20 in queue then told to leave email. Sent email and responded a week later.

    • +2

You are not the only one. My phone says i used 1.9GB, Circles says i used 5GB. I never used that much in 5 days. I used around 7GB a month with Telstra.
Essentially, its like a Telstra 50GB plan the way they calculate usage.

    • ive found amaysim to be the same, gave them the heave ho, my phone said 2.6gb and amaysim was almost 5gb

  • I replaced my nbn with this deal last month. Pulled my Netflix back to basic HD to conserve data.

These guys are great, even got a spontaneous christmas hamper delivered from them last week!

  • Been with Circles.Life for a couple of weeks. No complaints. Signing up and porting my number across was easy. I've been with Optus for the last 5 years.so I'm happy with the network coverage.

  • +1

The founder must be a fan of The Lion King.

  • I tried signing up in October for my mum with the 4 months free offer but have had drama after drama and her number is still not ported. Some of it is not all their fault but the situation has been made much worse by not being able to contact them by phone. They only have online chat for customer service and it's virtually non-existent. I suppose you get what you pay for.

  • I signed up to the recent $28/100gb deal after being with Optus for the last 4 years. No real complaints so far, I've travelled all over Melbourne, Canberra & Adelaide recently without any issues.

  • If you're on prepaid with another telco can you port to this deal?

    • Yes I was on Optus prepaid

  • +2

Confirming support is virtually non existent

Logged in just to share the experience:
Signed for $28 100gb from previous deal, they say pro rata data allocation and first month cost depends what day of the month you activate the service, if you signed on 15th of the month, you will get 50gb data and pay $14 for that month and full cost and data allocation from the 1st day of the next month. My first bill should be no more than $44, for the first month and the next, however I got the bill for $73.55, it includes $28.75 for international calls and sms which I never used. Contacted them through live chat but I never found someone online to chat. Emailed them, haven't received any reply for a week, sent another email, received a reply after 3 days asking for more details which I already provided in previous email.
Well, it might be cheap but more hassle, better avoid. I am not paying them anything until they contact me and sort out the bill.

      Scary

    • +2

      Sounds dodgy AF.

  • Hmm need second thought

  • +1

    Feedback from previous 100gb/$28 deal.
Needed an extra SIM for work secondment (no wifi at accomadation)
Was getting great speeds 100+ Mbps at Port Macquarie. No noticeable dropouts.
Went back to Sydney briefly, service kept dropping out in inner city, but speeds were still decent (not as fast as in Port mac).
Still on secondment, been happy with the service. Able to hotspot, stream in HD, torrent without issue.

  • I signed up at the 100 GB deal previously and sr far have been impressed.

I'm in Sydney and I haven't had any drop outs or anything like that. I also did a road trip from Sydney to Coffs Harbour and never had any issues on that trip.

Would definitely recommend at this price

  • -3

how is this cheap … 16gb per month for $28/m …

    • Think you have read this wrong. It's 100GB per MONTH for $28 (for the 1st 6 months, then drops down to 20GB/month)

    • +2

try reading it again with your eyes open :)

      • -4

or maybe it needs to be written better

  • +1

Worse Network ever. I singed up with them as they have full optus network. Trust me its not the case. i would not recommend to anyone. No voicemail by calling the number. High international call rates. No customer service contact number. DO NOT SIGN UP. I left 3 days later. Lucky i was on 4 months trial period.

  • +2

Be warned if you sign up with circles life. I've been with them since September. I'm constantly having issues with billing, being overcharged, and they are harder to contact than God. They ignore your correspondence. They are not worth the hassle.

  • Porting out is a mess bc they use letters for account number :(

    • How did you able to port-out if the new telco doesn't accept letters in the Account Number?

      • Went into a shop to do it
