Petrol is dead man.I bought an ego mower kit about 3 years ago - I think its paid for itself in fuel savings and literal zero servicing costgs over 3 years, so despite a reasonable chance of price slide (or more likely a better product for the same price into the future) - the savings are immediate an ongoing. These products are also a joy to use.

The line trimmer attachment is terrific, it has rapid reload, so easy to add fresh line.
I have the Ego loop handle trimmer as well, this one eats it for breakfast.

Boxes look damaged. Maybe they were in the clearance shelves as damaged box items and marked down eg a once of thing like the lotto.

I managed to score the last one today at Eastgardens Bunnings for $250 (it was on the shelf with a clearance sticker price for $499, $100 off). Poor young girl at the register tried multiple times with her boss to do it for $100 but could only do 50% off the clearance price. If you're in Sydney, Greenacre has 2 left for $599 (full price) according to the computers, but you may be able to it a go with Dex38313 above photos.
The promotional period for the free turbo leaf blower (worth $299) ends at the end of this month.

The ego battery garden tools are best in class. Much better than anything else on the market at the moment.

I was told they oversold, about 140 units instead of 40. They are talking to Ego to see if they can supply. The guy on the phone at tradetools was very nice & knew what was going on.
Anyone who bought this, note the shaft is overlong. 1350mm. It's actually for doing large areas, ie: bigger swing radius, not suburban yards

Just got an email saying they will refund and give me a 15% discount on skin only. Damn that sucks.
This is ridiculous. Trying to sell the skins separately now is not a good way to treat customers:
- They have stock of skins.
- They have stock of batteries.
- They have stock of chargers.
The end user doesn't care whether it comes in one box or three boxes! What Ego should should be doing is demonstrate the decency to send them like this until one of the separates are out of stock too!
Now, sure, they might still have too many orders to satisfy everyone. That's cool, can't complain if that happens.
I hope they've merely overlooked this possibility and pull through for everyone.
