Here is my first post. I was shopping around to look for a good deal to upgrade my zenbook hard drive, comes across this under Amazon AU and it works out to be cheaper than items listed ebay that needs delivery cost on top. Looks like a good bargain to me. Not sure how long it will last until stock lasts or this is a Xmas deals.

This is a sata drive. You can get a 500g pcie drive for under $80 on ebay.

Thanks ggzdwy. I believe my zenbook supports only SATA not NVMe so I will need to stick to older technology here.

Even though, it is $84 after coupon at futuonline ebay at the moment.

Let me know if im wrong.

        • You're wrong if you want it at the price you gotta be an eBay Plus member. It's $105+15 delivery minus the 21$ discount which is still 100$. This one is still cheaper.

          • @HandsomeMonkey: Yes, but dont you need prime to get free delivery for this? Sorry, I got both ebay+ and AmaPrime, so dont know the none member shipping. I think that is why they call it "membership".

            • @ggzdwy: I'm not sure.. Normally anything sold by AmazonAU and is over 39$ gets free delivery. This one should come with free delivery even if you don't Prime.

            • @ggzdwy: Just use free trial? Or if you're targeted for eBay Plus $50 gift card deal, just do that and get a free year of eBay Plus.

$89 at Umart/MSY, so it is still okay price (not amazingly cheap) if you want it delivered and don't have a Umart/MSY near you.

M.2 SATA drives are getting a bit niche nowadays but still good if the motherboard is old and can only support SATA. NVMe drives are getting cheaper and cheaper, almost to parity with SATA.

    • SATA is getting outdated as technology advances and with bigger size like 1TB. After i think twice, i would hold on buying one although price is tempting. I will wait for 1TB size to drop and get that instead.

$84 on eBay with code PEACHY20, not sure if you need eBay plus or not

    • $84 does not inc delivery($14.95). Free delivery only for ebay+ members that I am not.

  • Just realized, price now drops even further $82.80. Very tempting.

  • Been looking to upgrade the tiny 128gb drive in my Miix 700. This is perfect.
