How are you finding this tablet in regards to speed and screen quality? Considering as a Christmas present

    • +2

      its pretty good.
      Its a year old tech.
It has usb C connection which is important
Fast enough, screen is nice enough.
      My kids use it

    • Found another.. just tried to post the link but I guess I'm not allowed.. ended up having $45.80 off with $5.26 shipping.. just search for it there are still plenty available on ebay

Ended up buying 2 for mum and dad it was $7 for shipping both :-D

  • mate, I paid $244 for it less than two months ago haha

    • +2

should i wait another 2 month then?

    • I also scored a 2nd one of these tablets using the Ebay PayPal glitch code on that Black friday. I paid $134 for that unit. I was going to onsell the original unit for $200, but I'll just return it to the store for full refund now.

      • why would they give you a full refund if you only paid $134 for it?

        • nah, return the first one that I bought for $203.

          • @mduncan2: Just wondering how you went returning your tablet assuming it was unopened?

      • What was the glitch code with PayPal eBay?

        • +1

The code PPD13 became usable on all purchases for a few minutes. It was supposed to only be used on a Luggage item for the Black friday deals.

Cheers OP. Was looking for a sub $200 tablet

    • Same. Thanks OP. Kinda let it drop off the radar (for anything decent value anyway) but this looks decent enough.

Cheap price for delivery considering other stuff these days.

  • Great tablet for the money - I paid 249 for it at the start of the year.

Good battery life, runs nice and smoothly.

I have a Lenovo p8 with a SD625 running lineageos. I find the 625 slightly laggy for normal text based app (not games). The 625 is slightly faster than the 450 but looks pretty similar on paper.

I have used a phone with SD630 and have found it way more buttery smooth on the same text based usage and highly recommend this processor as a floor when choosing devices.

    • Just wondering if it was preloaded with Android Pie, or has there been an update to Pie?

Is it true that you can not copy anything to external sd card?

      Thanks in advance.

still waiting for galaxy tab s6.. :/

  • Was hoping for the 128GB Samsung Tab A but it's not on their eBay store so this will do I think.

    • Same here. Went with the Lenovo my son won't care either way.

      • throw a Samsung sticker on it

        • +1

It's more the lack of ongoing software support that Lenovo provides its tablets. Though for this price I don't think it matters too much.

        • -1

no please no. sick of seeing people putting Apple sticker on their car etc. i mean, c'mon…

    • The galaxy tab a 2019 dont have light sensor, so no auto brightness surprising it was annoying

  • +1

Is lenovo still lagging or never updating the OS as usual?
With my old sumsung tablets still getting updates even after 4 years of use.

    • +3

My experience with a lenovo tab 4 plus bought from tgg in a similar sale last year is that it stopped receiving security updates in less than 12 months and is stuck on android 7. No 3rd party roms either. My advice is to stick with Samsung if you can… Better value because of better longevity.

      • This. Fantastic developer community for Samsung devices, so your tablet will last a lot longer - and quite likely run faster! - when you are ready to try a custom ROM after end of support (Or simply because you can ;)

        • But you get all the Samsung rubbish installed, the Lenovo ones are as close to a pixel experience as you can get.

Why Google don't produce tablets again or have a similar program for tablets as they do for phones is beyond my comprehension.

People want a clean Android tablet and will pay for it as long as it gets regular updates for a few years.

          • @Maverick-au: Probably because google absolutely broke nexux 7 tablets with just an update you could not uninstall. It made then totally unusable crashing and slow even after factory resets. I would be very wary of google tablets.

  • Thanks OP, was hoping a 20% off TGG ebay would come up while the M10 was still at a low price. Despite stock instore locally via website, via ebay its reporting no stock, but $5.20 delivery wasn't a deal breaker.

whats the different between P10, M10

    • +1

Better specs with P10. Not 100% sure, read somewhere that P= Pro and M= midrange. Lenovo does have cheaper E10 (Economic Model). Cheers

    • +1

P10 has a significantly better battery, better screen, 4 speakers compared to 2 and glass back. The P10 also comes in a 4GB RAM version too. Processor is the same.

  • As far as tablets go for under $200, will it get any better than this?

    • No, these have been replaced by a new model which has lower specs including screen resolution and a micro USB interface.

      • Really? Which ones?

  • -1

Will local GG stores match this price?

    • No because eBay pays part of the discount. You have a problem with the free pickup option?

      • Depends who you get. They did for me last time but the guy had to ask his supervisor

  • I've ordered a M10 for the kids and also ordered a E8 for myself to use as a Google Play Books e-reader only android device.

I've got some Amazon kindle books also so can use that app also.

    Thanks OP

I've got two 10 inch Lenovo tablets maybe 3 years old and they would both still work fine for the kids games and watching videos EXCEPT for the fact BOTH are rendered useless by the charging port failing. The socket breaks inside.

    • Perhaps getting mag cables would reduce the chance of this happening…

      • +1

This one is USB-C which is a lot more sturdy than the micro USB sockets that those older tablets would be using.

  • Grabbed one too for my daughter.
    Thanks!

  • Whats the screen like on these things?

  • +3

    Ended

    • Wonder if the later orders will just be refunded if they got over sold.

Happened during their Whirlpool kitchen cleanout and they just cancelled/refunded without any notification (only cos I checked my CC and saw the credit)

  • +2

I've had several of these for a few projects at work, they are dog slow but to be expected for the price.
My real issue with them is they dropout from wifi interference, Samsung and Xiaomi tablets that I've used in the same application were rock solid.
And it wasn't an issue with one unit, all of the M10s we had did this.
    Xiaomi for the win!

  • Can it handle 1080p .MKV movies without stuttering? I'm at ends meat with a Samsung TAB A and can only watch movies up to 720p.

  • +1

    Seem to be very popular.

I got to the shop to pick up mine and the sales person could not find it on the "click and collect" shelf. After checking the computer and looking for it on the shelf several times another sales person joined in and they still could not find it. Eventually the third person pointed to a trolley full of them waiting to be collected :-)

  • Bought a couple of hours ago, just got the call from the local store that they actually have no stock.

    • +3

Australia, the country that can't actually run e-commerce systems that work….

  • Anyones got suggestion for the Xiaomi tablet ? Which one is good value for money? Just want to do basic stuff and no heavy gaming…

  • Deal updated with new link (thanks doweyy)

    • +1

Where is the new link? Or is it out of stock again?

      • I'm seeing "Delivery: Estimated within 3 business days" so they don't have stock but might be able to get it in, which is what they told me over the phone.

      • Sorry, looks like the edit didn't save. Updated now.

        • Out of stock/listing ended now.

  • This went back into "stock" last night with a new link that was delivery only. Still looks to be delivery only - please update the deal to include the delivery fee which does not look possible to avoid now and changes the total price..

  • +1

anyone use these for plex viewing? can they do x265 without transcoding?

  • Anyone got theirs shipped yet when ordering from the delivery only link?

    • not yet. Still has delivery estimate before xmas for me. Between December 20- December 23rd. Fingers crossed

  • By the way, the instructions for unlocking the bootloader and rooting can be found starting with post 67 here:
    https://forum.xda-developers.com/android/development/guide-u…
(note that the thread is for P10 but also for M10)

Do it at your own risk and READ the instructions/thread carefully before proceeding.

Just received a phone call from Good Guys. Order has been cancelled as there is no stock left in Australia. Booooooo!

  • Mine is coming today!

  • +3

What BS. I'm getting a refund, but I already ordered screen protectors. Ffs.

If anyone in Western Sydney wants free glass screen protectors, shoot me a msg.

    Kthx.

  • As expected from my above comment, got a refund from a Paypal credit, but no notification or anything. I just knew to stickybeak my Paypal/CC accounts every now and again to check for it since there was no update on eBay the whole time.
