Huh! I can get Journey for PC now that I've packed away my PS3.

    • +2

Oh wow it's fiiiiinally on PC. I didn't even notice. I've always wanted to play it!

      • Such an amazing game!

  • +1

Thanks, just got BL3 for 28.99 USD

  • +1

good deal. I hope the games we claimed wont be given away during their 12-day free game deal. would be disappointing.

    • +4

You can always wait until the last day of the sales to buy to minimise that risk.
But of course you would get some play time and value out of it over the holidays if you buy a game now and it is given away only on 31 December.

      • +2

        My plan exactly.

I seem to buy games to collect rather than play anyway.

        • This is my current world of gaming more like collecting.

Honestly there is no rush for me as most games get to sub $5 AUD eventually or at least the ones I want to collect or play.

So many cool games to play it is crazy.

          • +3

@AlienC: Becoming a 'patient gamer' was one of the best money saving changes I've done. I bought a single new release game this year, and it was a Nintendo title (which rarely drop in price anyway). With the regular game sales and EGS/Twitch giveaways, I still have a massive backlog.

            • -5

@PurchaseAnxiety: I have been trying to enforce a 85% off or higher rule which makes me only go for bundles and really great surprise deals and chrono.gg

I never go below 75% off as a hard rule of thumb but nowadays I am thinking of keeping my limit to 90% off only including bundle value.

Work has been great more money and less time to spend playing games I just have to remove the risk and reward factor of eating as it costs me drearily and is honestly a true obsessive compulsive action now as normally I don't really even eat food just maybe water and something liquid if anything but I have put in my brain to eat as a reward which is the dumbest mentality when you think about it.

I have spent probably $20-30 a day minimum on food so far every day while working it is ridiculous just because I have rationalised myself to be normal.. When before when I was unemployed I obviously spent hardly a few dollars and less because I was always at home.

The mind is such an elusive tricky thing especially when under stress and now I know why some people maybe resort to things like therapy or programs to help them achieve their goals or battle their illnesses and sickness.

I can't shake the mentality of eating after doing labour work it is just so ingrained in me it would be like sleeping without showering if I had been doing dirty work all day or something but honestly I really don't need much food at all to survive or much of anything besides maybe water because logically I think I am flushing my body every time I drink water and flush it out that one makes sense to me but whether it is actually needed or not I have no idea.

Yeah been spending minimum $80 per week on food outside that is $240 per month on something that really I only need to spend maybe half that if anything maximum on food.

I should really make food at home or erase the link connection attachment of work or physical exercise with food as that will honestly be my greatest financial and probably physical health benefit for the year but it is hard to civilise and control your mind sometimes especially when you have brainwashed yourself into thinking yourself into a weird hyper alternate or counter-intuitive psychological thinking especially if it was a coping mechanism to just get through something.

Life is hard and tricky and what I found is if you are like me always trying to get ahead and see what the world might be like before it gets here then yes you do get that insight but that time wasted seeing that insight blurs your version of reality and so you desync with everybody else and become stuck in this self involved bizzaro world in your head that you try to apply to real life but just end up missing everything it is a weird L surreal feeling but mainly it just sucks that my perfect pristine system has basically been flipped upside down and taken away from me just like that over a short period of time but it is not all bad I am earning more money now but I definitely had to sacrifice some of the ultimate system or it was for a time in my mind in return for something else honestly I don't mind the trade off was worth it I definitely got the better end of the deal but I miss what was lost even if it was something less valuable than what I gained anyways that is enough from me now.

I enjoy spilling my life on the internet for others to see or did at a time.

It is like having an unlimited one on one session with the rest of the world with people able to say whatever it is they want to say no matter what without ever meeting each other maybe in this life or at all.

Anyways I'm gonna go home now I already threw away like $60 today on food and stuff I didn't really need today (hmm ok I did need that big w $15 2.4V charger and 1m micro usb cable but still I wanna spend money like I was jobless and poor like a student.

Life is funny when you go from one extreme to another now I know what my friend keeps saying his crazy insanity actually makes sense.

              • +1

@AlienC: Dude, you don't need to share your life story here…
                Find a friend to tell.

              • +2

@AlienC: Just to offset the other bloke's opinion - I skimmed your post cos it was lengthy and then went back to read it all in detail.

                R U ok mate?

Just want you to know you're not alone.

      • yes i will wait. because these games that you listed above are likely to be given as they are already cheap.

    • don't think they've done that yet, plus you could just refund.

  • +1

    vampyr
    ancestors humankind oddysey

    these are worthy too.

  • Gutted… The only game I want from there is Falcon Age which they currently have on sale taking it just below the $15 coupon eligibility price :-/ Guess I'll wait for a bit more of a price drop.

  • I can't believe Afterparty is that low already, instant buy for me.

  • Which game is recommend for under $10 USD after the coupon?

    • +4

      Jackbox as party games

    • -4

      Game of real life.

  • +7

Division 2 standard edition is usd$7.48 (~$10.68) after the coupon.

  • +2

Much better "Lysander Epic post" :p

  • +3

Just in case you are thinking of buying it, Phoenix Point just got added to Xbox Game Pass.

  • Metro exodus becomes 10 bucks.

    • +3

still on gamepass if you have it.

  • +1

Very tempting :( Wanted to buy heavy rain. But made up my mind not to hoard any more games until I finish playing 10+ modern games that I own but yet to install.

  • +2

So $9.99 for untitled goose game. Very tempting.

    • +2

About to release onto Game Pass as well

      • Is that for pc? Or only console.

        • +1

          Appears to be only console.

Oh well, time to dust off the Xbox One. Haven't really used it since Outer Wilds came to Game Pass console. Both it and UGG must be Epic Store PC exclusives by the looks of it

  • any good co-op games to recommend guys?

    • +1

Journey is co-op, although not in a couch-coop/split screen sense.

  • It's a shame these can't be used for currency… I'd be stocking up on Apex packs

    • Good reason it's not otherwise alot of people would.

  • Borderlands 3 standard edition is a good price at $42 but deluxe/super deluxe editions are cheaper at GMG

  • AC Odyssey:Standard Edition cost around A$24 using coupon

  • Am I missing something - why not discount all games by 10 bucks, rather than this convoluted buy one get 10 bucks, buy another get 10 bucks etc etc chain?

  • +1

Awesome value. Just bought World War Z for $7.49 AUD ($-20 $-10 USD off their RRP)

    • I was thinking about that or Hades, what are the server's like from Aus? I hadn't heard good things

  • -1

If you change your region to China, you can get Boarderland 3 for $9.49USD (19.49USD-10USD), Jedi Fallen Order for $15.72USD (25.72USD-10USD) RDR2 for $17.99USD(17.99USD-10USD), the Outer Worlds for $12.49USD (22.49USD-10USD)

    • +1

can you guarantee, our account won't be banned?

      • Looks like they check IPs during payment, and the only payment methods are wechat pay and alipay. So it will be difficult to buy from oz

        • Can't you easily get alipay via aliexpress?

  • My bad. the Epic games may also be region locked, due to the price differences in different regions.

  • Can we buy two games (combined over $15) and get the $10 voucher?

    • I do not think so.

"Use the $10 Epic Coupon to buy an eligible game of $14.99 or more on the store (during the promotional period) and you’ll receive another $10 Epic Coupon"

  • When I'm trying to buy Hades it applies at first but after entering my card details and it gives me the option to place order, the discount doesn't show up for the coupon, normal?

  • well i read it as $15 USD or more?

    • My reading exactly.

It's worth emphasizing the EPIC store here is still USD only, had a friend arguing with me on the weekend about how crazy this deal is compared to Steam (i.e. Red Dead Redemption for ~$42 vs ~$72 on Steam) until I pointed out one is in USD and the other AUD. But this is OzBargain, so I'm sure I'm preaching to the choir already.

      • Isn't this still pretty cheap?

Also Rockstar games don't usually go down anytime soon.

  • +1

Somehow, puzzler Superliminal is not on the list. With the USD$10 coupon it brings it down to USD$5.99 which is damn good for a game that only came out just over a month ago and is rating pretty well…. if you can wrap your brain around it and it's sometimes weird perspective puzzles.

  • Hmm price for Jackbox 5 is probably as good as it gets. Seems like every distributor is selling at 35% off at the moment.

  • I'm mainly tempted by Rebel Galaxy Outlaw, for ~$18.11.

Going to wait until the sale is almost done, or I'm itching to play something on holiday, before pulling the trigger. Fingers crossed they'll give it away in the meantime.

  • +2

CHECK YOUR TRANSACTION HISTORY if youve paid by card,
checkout showed the voucher was being applied but my bank account says otherwise.

  • Right so this is still going on. I've just bought something and received another $10 coupon. I'd like to buy the same game again (WWZ). Can I do that on my account? Like will it give me a gift copy? How do I go about doing this? Or is it not possible?
