The Botanic Gardens are nice for a getaway from the city. A lovely little Japanese garden, a lake with ducks and lots of grassy picnic areas.

not sure why anyone would want to go up there at the moment - the sky is very hazy

Did you see that it runs all year round, not just today?

      • +1

yes, but i did say "at the moment"

There's not much to see right now (today in particular) with the smoke.

However, the gardens are looking very nice indeed, they are well looked after. Not bone dry like everything else in Qld.

Thanks OP @charuzu for sharing. Lovely spot! Full of good vibes.
Many people gave or received wedding proposals up there.
Parking is always an issue so it'd be nice to be able to catch a shuttle.

  • where does it say free? translink doesn't show the route.
