  • Does anyone have one and can comment on quality?

  • Crap

    • Hey Ya!

      • It is recommended that you do not shake it, sh-shake it, shake it…

  • Like some have been brand names like AIWA, they now license the name to a variety of electronics manufacturers. Apparently it is not bad for the price:

    Someone reviewed it here: https://forums.whirlpool.net.au/archive/2640029
    For those into trivia:
In 2009, a group of investors snapped up the Polaroid brand and launched a company called PLR IP Holdings, which now administers the licenses. The current U.S. licensee is Empire Electronics. Once the premium sub-brand of RCA TVs, the ProScan name is owned by Technicolor, which controls RCA as well.

    • I'm returning the Polaroid today and getting a 58" hisense.

I highly suggest that anyone does not purchase this TV.

      • Why?

        • It is a quote from the Whirlpool thread.

  • -1

does it take photos of you while you are watching it?

    • Yep. Then the hackers blackmail you. But that's not just Polaroid TVs.

  • +1

    no HDR?

    • No, but this does have HDR, and Chromecast and Android 9 TV with Play Store etc, and cheaper ($559):

      • Yep I've been commenting in the thread trying to decide whether or not to pull the trigger.

        • Got one yesterday and for the money it's a ripper. Only downsides is picture and sound controls are android settings so you can't see changes "live". Speakers are also marginal but that's expected.

Overall, android 9, Chromecast, built in prime (could t get that for some reason on other android tv box) make it bargain for me,
