It definitely is once you add in shipping.

wireless g only? i'd be getting wireless n

Yeah, older model with wireless G, which is likely why it's on clearance.

  • nothing special….maybe clearing stock for a new model.

I've had this modem/router for a couple of years now and it's fantastic, however I would go for a wireless N model, because the G is starting to feel quite dated.

    • i read some reports saying even with N's hardware downgrading to G is still an improvement over the native G models.

  • Wireless G?

  • I'm sorry but your information is either outdated or a lie. I just searched staticice and the next best price is $143 (jmg technology) not $155 as claimed

    • Now I'm negging this deal because the rep coudn't be bothered to correct the misinformation I pointed out 4 days before. (also it's now $125 at JMG technology)

  • Is it true that Warcom are gaming sites like static ice?

I have heard from a couple people that they are advertising products that are slightly cheaper than the competition with with weird prices like $136.90, $xxx.27, $xxx.58, $xxx.41 etc, and don't actually have the items in stock, even though the web sites states "Stock available". But when you order the actual item then comes from somewhere else and can take a couple weeks for the item to be actually sent?

    • I've noticed a few stores on StaticIce that do this - list a huge range of items at slightly cheaper prices. After you place an order you find out that they don't actually have it in stock but arrange a drop ship, which not only takes a few weeks but is also a pain in the arse when it comes to returns.

  • "With VOIP", does this mean that if I have the modem, I can use normal phone connecting to it and talk over IP?

  • +1

Yes, but dect/cordless phones work better.

You need a voip account too, I use mynetfone.

    • great 3G VOIP modem hard to go past, and with two lines.Think VOIP DID over 3G, a great combination.
