  • Looks good for use cleaning the cars, much better than lugging the full vacuum cleaner out..

Anyone used one of these ?
How are they ? any good?

    • +1

It will be crap at only 7.2V. I have a ryobi "one+" 18V one and it only became useable after I changed from 18V nicd to 18V lithium ion batteries. One+ is a whole range of power tools that use the same battery.

Even then, these vacuums drain batteries like you wouldn't believe. I can run this handheld for 14minutes, whereas on my one+ garden line trimmer it runs for 40mins

  • Many of these small vaccums are not powerful and would run of of battery in a short time, eg 15mins, but not sure about this particular one.

    • You are right. I tried even branded ones , all the same,no power , battery runs out very fast. Please do not throw your money on these handhelds

      • I agreed.they are just useless.

      • I have a black and decker 14.4v handheld vac. Yes it only has 6 to 10 minutes of battery but it has plenty of power. I find it great for spot cleaning (it's not meant to be used to clean your entire house). Just do your research, I wouldn't recommend anything below a 14.4v/18v or move up to the Dyson range (if you can afford it).

        • Haha i was just about to mention…that even a Dyson handheld only last about 15 minutes, such as the Dyson DC35 which was designed especially for that.

A full charge takes several hours too. I know the DC35 have quality components and a slick design, but I'm not too sure about its' suction power though for the handheld. It does come with a long headpiece attachment though and it's supposed to be able to suck through that long tube as well.. who knows.

        • Typical Dyson usage is only 6 mins too. That's for a $249 handheld!

  • Please include 'plus shipping' in the title. Delivery and handling amounts to $9.99 for Sydney

    shopping square? kidding me…

It's going to take them over a month to deliver the product. People who bought the phone on 11th July are still waiting for them phone today. http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/48636. You'll find how terrible their service is!!!

    Buyers Beware!

  • I got one like this for the car which fits in the cigarette lighter socket.. Bought from Kmart for $10 and does the job really well..
And since it uses the cars battery, you can take your own sweet time..

Don't buy from shopping Square: very poor and inconsistent customer service, totally unreasonable.
