Another Edifier model which rarely goes on-sale.

Looks like Amazon AU have price-matched the Mwave Sale’s Delivered prices.
This price is basically the R1850D’s common price.

Note: R2000DB lacks the subwoofer output that R1850DB has.

  • How does it compares to the S2000 Pro I wonder. Trying to justify the almost double price of the latter.

    • +1

Planar-diaphragm tweeter (more efficient / higher resolution & extension offering superior fidelity), more power behind larger woofer 5.5-inch @ 50w vs R2000DB’s 5-inch @ 36w (better control over woofer, again better speed detail & accuracy).
Pro-series has a slightly better DSP implementation which includes 4 DSP modes on top of the tone-controls.

IMO Pro-series are a step above the rest and worth the extra cost. I would recommend the S3000Pro since they offer better overall-frequency extension compared to the S2000Pro. (This is the from measurements the S2000Pro rolls-off just before 20khz, while the S3000Pro stays flat and extends beyond.)

      • Thanks for the info, and all the audio deals you’ve posted. Will keep an eye on the S3000 Pro the next time it’s on sale.

Why so many threads promoting edifier speakers? Looks suspicious.

    • +3

Because dollar for dollar you cannot buy better speakers from any other manufacturer? They won't replace your floor standers but they will provide true audiophile quality for peanuts?

Funny, none of them could be considered promotional…
