ABSOLUTE TOP NOTCH PRO TIP!!! 'SHOP' ONLINE!!!

Go through the Woolworths website, make sure you are logged in and add the items to your cart on your home desktop.

Open up the website on your mobile, log in and the items in your cart should now be viewable on your phone. It reminds you of all the bargains you want to purchase, you can even fiddle with the quantities to make sure you hit that spend.

(Works awesomely if you like to shop in store like myself)

  • My pro tip is at least Coles on your Flybuy app you know if you have an offer or not . Like now 2500 pts for a $150 shop combined with a gift card is $20 off .

Woolies you may or may not get a email leaving people not knowing WTF going on .

2000 points for $50 is an illusion I think.

First, you spend $50 to get 2000 points. Then you spend a further $10 to use that $10. Basically you are spending $60 in total to get $10 discount.

    • We spend that money anyways when we do a shop, so it's a bonus either way.

    • High chance that people spend way over $10 in the second purchase, making the discount well below the maximum 16.666% off. Remember WW point is not treated as Coles flybuys dollars whether it’s counted as real money spending for future promos.

      • Sorry I don't quite follow - how are they different? Isn't the Coles flybuys "redeem $10" when you spend over $10 at Coles the same as getting a $10 discount on your next $10 spend at Woolies?

        • You don’t use flybuys, do you? For Coles, each time you can choose discounts or flybuys points. If flybuys points, you later can redeem as flybuys dollars (deposits into your flybuys card which you can swipe as normal eftpos card). Those “dollars” counted as spending if you need to meet “spend xx dollars and receive xxxx points” promos. Hope that helps.

          • @OrangeBJ: Ah I see. I actually do use flybuys but I let my wife set it up. The only thing I appreciated about the $10 was it could be used on gift cards. I guess based on your description it’s the second option we have enabled since the wife cares about points and then every now and then I get asked if I want to redeem the $10 at the check out.

I wait until the next offer to use the credit so I use about $40 of e-gift card credit to pay for a $50 shop earning another $10 worth of points for the next time.

If I happen to need a few things sooner then I might use the $10 earlier.

I have several cards with credit just sitting there waiting for an offer or for me to do a top-up shop.

I got 8,000 points ($40) for spending $150. Went shopping this morning and bought out usual stuff. Also got 5X points through another email. Easy money.

Wife got neither, but she has me!

    • LUCKY! So 8750 points! or $43.75 in real value! So $98.75 for $150 if you bought a gift card first.

Didn't work for me? I assume you need to receive the email?
