This is a good deal for IPS monitor, though I get many don't think Full HD is enough for 32".
Hard to pass at this price though.

I think 1440p is just doable at this size. 1080p probably pushing it.

1080p looks bad at 32" it's fine at 27" but not any larger.. the text is all blocky and fuzzy.. at 32" cant stand browsing websites it's so bad

      i've had a 1080p 144hz at 32" for about 3 years now. Been enjoying it a lot!

As someone who's had both on his desk, I can confirm. 1080p @ 32" close up looks awful. 1440p is equivalent to a 24" 1200p monitor and looks fine.

good for someone with poor eyesight or a lower end graphics card

    • Agree - for gaming it is probably not suitable (unless your graphics card struggles with refresh rates at higher resolutions).

I use large monitors at work, with a couple plugged into each laptop, and noticed the laptops struggle at 1440p across 3 screens (2 monitors plus laptop). With 1080p they manage just fine, and for office work that resolution seems to work very well.

I would say the opposite. For gaming it's perfectly fine, especially with multiple displays, I doubt you'd be looking at pixels while gaming.
Watching videos should be fine too. But anything to do with small-ish text, such as websites and spreadsheets, this will be very painful to use.

        • TRUE… 27 is 100% fine but 32" 1080p is just crap it hurts my eyes looking at the fuzzy text.

    • I am both of these things and have this monitor :)

Honestly the worst thing about it is the stand, not very stable. But for my purposes it does fine display wise, and a step up from my previous 15" VGA

  • Has headphone out. Bedside screen for streaming, big pixels so you don't have to keep your reading specs handy?

  • This good for work use and videos?

Great price for this monitor delivered. I have the newer model 32ML600 (roughly $299) with similar specs + HDR so assume similar with this older model

Has a glossy screen compared to some other matte screens of other LG IPS monitors so bare in mind where you place screen.

The 1080P resolution is a non factor considering it makes a really great console/media consumption monitor. Perfect for gaming with the Nintendo Switch/PS4. Response/input lag is great and colours are good! Has headphone output to match with the edifier on special a lot here

The con to this screen is there are some reviews of stand failing - I've had my monitor for half a year with no signs of failure so could be a bad batch? Warranty is 3 years so should be fine

    Would recommend this monitor +1

1920x1080 means you will be playing latest games in Pac-Man mode…and you would probably be overwhelmed by the screen size so close to your eyes.

    • Games and movies are fine.. its the text that's the issue.

Biggest exaggeration by far in these comments.

    • Are you confusing 1080p with 480p?

      • Someone's doing alright.
Blinky Bill on VHS was my Xmas present. 352x480 FTW!

8 bit panel. So no good for photo/video editing despite being IPS.

    • No 1080p panel is 10bit as far as I know. 8bit is actually quite good for this monitor as most in this range are 6bit+FRC.

      • Specs I saw were 8 bit. Quick look didn't show sRGB and Adobe colour space coverage.

        • That's a good point. Many monitors in this range have 95-100% sRGB ratings.

Seems like a good deal but at the same time…it's only $224 normally. $15 and possible cashback? is a nice saving but I possibly would have bought this or similar if I had stumbled on it at $224 to begin with, and am taking pause as to whether I should snap this up now or try wait for a bigger discount. I might still recommend to an older family member so that I have something easier to look at on the rare occasions I have to fix something on it.

  • Hmm seems to have VESA mount.. Anybody know the weight without the stand?

  • I am looking to purchase a monitor for office use (mainly text and spreadsheet useage).
Would something like this be a better option due to the pixel issues discussed above?

  • Hi guys,

I just got this monitor but can't seem to get it to connect with my macbook pro, 2018 with touchbar.

Has anyone purchased this and have a macbook and gotten it to work?

Also does anyone have an LG monitor and has gotten macbook to work as an external display? I've read online there seems to be a bunch of issues, but wondering if perhaps it is my dock or this monitor?

    I've tested the following:

    1. MacBook to tv (works fine)
    2. Macbook to other brand monitor (works fine)
    3. Another laptop to monitor (works fine)
    4. PS3 to monitor (works fine)

    Thanks,
