Please check these FFT cards for authenticity when they arrive. Plenty of freeware programs around to ensure you get what you pay for.
I hope you have better luck than I did.

    • +1

I've order a few times from FTT. They appear to be genuine, but takes AGES to arrive.

      • easy with eBay; once they exceed the promised delivery date, then start hassling them and raise dispute

    • Can u recommend a freeware for Mac?

      • Thanks @OzBargin for mentioning this. Did some DuckDuckGo-ing and found this for Mac users: https://fight-flash-fraud.readthedocs.io/en/stable/index.htm…

        • +1

I wish I could give u Reddit gold for mentioning "DuckDuckGo-ing". btw I've be using ddging, creates opportunity for people to ask what's that.

      • ;) these SD cards might not be Mac compatible.

        • I'm sure they are MFI certified ;D

  • +5

$10 off can be applied multiple times as well. Just order them separately.

    • Yep, should have mentioned in the OP.

      • I assume they will fix this soon which will be good as I've already placed nearly ten orders!

        • First order for the Kingston MobileLite G4 Card Reader has been marked as 'sent'

          • @RichardL: Yeah, u can't cancel it now ;)

            • -1

@freewhere: Pisses me off when they mark it as sent and it obviously hasn't been. For eg I buy something on Ebay at 8pm at night and at 10pm I receive a notification that it has been posted.. It's a parcel to that wont fit in a letter box. I report these sellers for lying to customers.

              • @Tythefly86: I guess you have not sold on eBay and purchased their postage label before. Some sellers create shipping labels overnight ready for packing/shipping the next working day. When you purchase and create a shipping label via Ebay, it is automatically marked as “sent” and hence the automatic ebay notification. You can see whether is has actually been received by the courier/post office by looking at the tracking history. If they marked as sent without a tracking number, then that’s deliberate.

        • Yeah doesn't work anymore.

    • +1

heh awesome, wonder how many will be cancelled :p

      • +1

I hope they send all mine in one delivery or the postman will be pissed! eBay must be wearing the cost here.

        • yeah hey. we get stuff delivered almost every day anyway (yes i have a problem, thanks ozbargain!), so at least it won't be out of the ordinary :)

          • +2

@Mister Plod: 15 orders and counting. Damn OzBargain, I'm sitting in my car at a service centre on the highway ordering crap I don't really need!

      • -1

i give you my word; it won't be cancelled

  • +1

Could someone please kindly suggest whether the card reader a real USB 3.0 one.

    • -3

maybe try three point one instead?

  • -1

thanks OP; bought a few even don't know what to do with them really.

    • +3

Order more so the others are not lonely.

      • thinking about ordering this USB-C flash drive … they say it's the future

  • +1

    Nice deals…
    Is FTT owned by Ozbargain ? ;-) - http://www.ozb.net.au/blog/about-business/

I guess OZB stands for OZ Business instead OZ Bargain :D - Did I just answered my question ? :D

    • +1

      Should associate myself 😉

  • Ordered SanDisk Ultra Dual USB Drive Type-C 32GB USB 3.1 Flash Drive. I already have 64GB one and really like the convenience of attaching it to phone and computer.

    • +2

      I already have 64GB one

I just bought the 64 GB one; i feel like a dork shopping all these techy stuff on NYE day.

      • +2

I know what you mean. But cant miss out on this flood of offers on cards and drives today.

      • unless you're from the future, it isn't and wasn't new years day lol. Additionally, you can miss out imo. At the rate sd cards are dropping, you'll be buying them at these prices normally in 6-12months and unless you're going to use them now or soon, its a waste of money.

        • New Years Eve is the evening of the 31st of December so whilst the term NYE day is not grammatical correct it clearly referred to the daytime of the 31st of December.

New Years Day on the other hand clearly means the 1st of January.

  • For the switch, should I get 2x 64gb for $10 or 1x 128gb for $17.80?

    • +3

Ideally the 1x 128GB, as you usually set and forget.

Also prevent corruption of data, with switching memory cards multiple times.

    • I got the 400GB one during black friday for around $50

      • was that posted on here?

        • Found it via a link posted on here

          • @jv: Which is?

            • @CVonC: I can't remember, it was back during the black friday sales. It was a post about another memory card, but I found the 400Gb one on the Amazon site, so bought it.

  • Ordered one with a $5 off coupon so ended up being free. Thanks OP

  • Bought a 64GB Ultra USB drive and a $5 Endurance SD card.

    • type-C ?

      • USB 3.0.. For raspberry pi model 3 which doesn't support USB 3.1 anyway.

  • For usb flash drive above, why would anyone choose anything over the 64gb ultra fit?

    • because of USB type-C ?

    • SanDisk has been recently notorious for bad quality, overheating and failing drives. If you look at the amazon reviews you will see the slower cruzer blade seems to be the most reliable of them all.

    • +2

ok, simply because of your comment, i decided to purchase another 64 GB Ultra Fit

    • +2

I bought a Ultra Flair after some googling
Ultra Flair has a better reading and writing speed than ultra fit in real life speed test

      • but Ultra Fit is 3.1 vs Ultra Flair only 3.0 °°°

        • It really means nothing
I have some Sandisk USBs, claims USB 3.0, but only reach 2.0 speed

          • @TanedaR: yours only or overall survey ?

            • +1

@tempura: Mate, it's a better idea to Google and read those speed test reviews of each USB drive than debating with me here 😊

              • -2

@TanedaR: lol, interesting that you viewed my post as a debate; it was merely a question and it's NYE, you should chill a bit ay and for crying out loud, why would one debate over microSD card hahaha 😂

            • @tempura: Why the random italics?

        • "tempura" USB 3 = USB 3.1 same same

        • TLDR - for the near future manufacturers advertising USB 3.1 on usb flash drives (and currently almost every storage device) is marketing BS.

None of the SanDisk USB drives (including the Extreme PRO which tops out at 420MBps read and 380MBps write) are able to saturate USB 3.0, so them mentioning USB 3.1 in the spec is irrelevant. USB 3.0 spec is theoretical 5Gbps (640MBps) and USB 3.1 is 10Gbps (1.28GBps or 1280MBps). USB 3.1 is also backwards compatible, so its not like you could buy a new computer or other device with only USB 3.1 ports and wouldn't be able to use a USB 3.0 or even USB 2.0 storage device.

          • @Wilburre: USB 3.0 is now called USB 3.1 Gen 1 (Speed up to 5Gbps) , now also called USB 3.2 Gen 1×1 A B MicroB and C

USB 3.1 is now called USB 3.1 Gen 2 (Speed up to 10Gbps), now also called USB 3.2 Gen 2×1 A B MicroB and C

And for USB 3.2, there is Gen 1 X 2 Dual lane 10Gbps Type C only,
            and Gen 2 X 2 Dual lane 20Gbps Type C only

Looking at the USB ports exists on the market you will know it is a shit show.

They should learn HDMI specs and use something like
            USB 3.1 3.2 3.3 3.4 3.5 3.6 4.1

  • There are so many…can anyone recommend what is the best mircoSD card for dash cams and home cameras?

    • Sandisk or samsung Endurance models.

      • The Sandisk is capable of slightly higher write speeds and is V30/U3 certified, but the warranty and total writing time on the Samsung (comparing 32gb to 32gb) are significantly better (5yr wty vs 2yr wty) for an extra $3.80.

I reckon if the system using the card is shooting above 1080p (2k, 4k) or is writing multiple streams at once (some cctv systems with multiple channels) go the Sandisk and wear the lower life, otherwise pay the extra $3.80 for the samsung.

I went the samsung as its only going into a cheap uniden dash cam with one camera at 1080p. Also the Sandisk was sold out :/

    • For continuous recording and rewriting, I would recommend the Samsung Endurance or SanDisk High Endurance MicroSD.

    • +2

      this for $5 dollar.

  • I guess all you ppl have ebay plus? Filtered for free delivery and nothing comes up. Guess they are making the bucks on delivery (or by ebay plus subscriptions)

  • can office works price match lol?

  • Bummer my plus trial ran out lol

    • -2

    • +1

They had four hours to fix it on a working day for most, think it's being given the Green Light.

  • +1

    $74.50 Kingston A400 2.5" 480GB SATA Internal Solid State Drive SSD 500MB/s SA400S37/48

$90 Crucial P1 M.2 NVMe 500GB PCIe Internal Solid State Drive SSD CT500P1SSD8

after $10 off and ebay plus free delivery.

  • They have fixed the loophole, one per customer now

    • Damn, I was about to order some more. I'll see if I can get one more order in….

Nope, it's all over for that loophole.

  • I made 3 orders, only the first is marked as sent :(
    Anyone else?

    • Same ATM

      • Ordered 8 separate items and only the first is marked as shipped. Will they cancel other orders?

Some of these items would be below cost, although the free delivery for ebay plus part is another story.
