I'm guessing more likely incompetence/poor training vs scamming…what do they have to gain? Do they get rewarded or a commission for upselling? Happy to be corrected.

I'd say it's on the management level. The internal memo was leaked a while back and got some OzB poster in trouble, but it did clearly say "any" big mac meal.

A store, or even just the facebook page itself (Who promoted it only with the Grand Big Mac) would try to do it to boost how well that location is doing among the franchise

  • Aluminium, which also used to be known as electrometal, due to the sheer amount electricity required to produce it.

  • I saw someone with an aluminium boost juice cup the other day, I have no idea how she got it.

    • Have you heard of Google?

Boost Juice will now also be selling a reusable cup with straw (RRP $25) and reusable straw kit (RRP $8), both available to purchase in-store. The gift that keeps on giving, the Boost reusable cup and straw kits are the perfect Christmas presents for those looking to enjoy their drinks in the most sustainable way possible. Customers will also receive a discount on every drink purchased using the cup, the cherry on top for the Boost aficionados in your life!

    These cups are tiny…

    • 350ml filled to the brim

Got one for $2. It's small and pretty thin.
Definitely feels like something that would be given away for free. The glass cups were better in my opinion.

    • $2? How?

These are awful. Kid sized cup. So small they are awkward to hold with a normal sized adult hand. Don't bother.

  • got it today and it looks super cheap
    also not dish washer safe

  • are these good ol' ozzie al-u-mini-um or coz from mcd's, strange yankie alumi-num ?

worst cup ever….. its so junk….

    • But, but, but….it has 'Coke' branding

      • +3

ahahhah…. it does……. it honestly looks like a fake coke cup you would get at a market in bali!

  • Had it for dinner tonight and felt cheated going to get this cup

  • You can buy these for $3 by themselves. They are stumpy looking

  • My local Maccas apparently only had red last friday when I got mine, saying more colours coming next week, anyone else got a different colour yet? It doesn't seem to be advertised as a weekly thing by colour similar to how they do happy meal toys?

    • only got red , i was told they should get them either Tuesdays or Fridays when they get stock but my local stores had nothing on Tuesday, it should be weekly change like the Olympic cups

    • This week my local has silver and some reds left over.

  • What about with a Royale with Cheese?

  • When does the next colour come out? Have silver and red. Vic.

  • What's the new colour in store. Store in Malvern had the yellow is that the current colour for this week

  • I checked, they had Black, Rose Gold and Blue.
3 new colours from last time!
I really wanted the Bronze/Rose Gold so I'm happy.
I actually wanted the Black too but on further inspection the Blue is better. The blue is a dark off-black colour.
The black just reminds me of Coke Zero and the torment of when it went off the market.
Take a look at my cups. https://files.ozbargain.com.au/upload/30374/76578/20200123_1…

      I’ve got the complete set.

I don’t mind that you have hand wash them, but If only the cups were slightly taller then I probably would’ve got a couple more sets (still prefer the glasses).

Some stores are still on red/silver whilst others got new colours 2-3 days apart (in the order shown in the pic).

Blue and the rose-gold are my favourites. I thought the black would be more blacker and not charcoal/grey. The gold one is my least favourite. A greenish one would’ve been nice!

  • Are the Black/charcoal available at Melbourne stores yet? Which stores?

    • I don't know how the issue goes, but I've got red, black, blue and now rose gold.
I'm not hardcore collecting them, but this has been from about the first week, forward, going roughly weekly.

      • Interesting. The store I have been going to I hope hasn't already gone through their colours as we found Red, Silver, Gold, Blue an Rose Gold. The later 2 being the ones I have seen in most stores now. Heard some store were gone in 2 days.

  • Just a heads this cup stained my bench. I also left a lemon slice in it overnight and the lemon slice turned blue. I don't think I'll be drinking out of it anymore.
