Toolpro Dual Action Polisher + Swirl Finder Worklight $77.99 @ Supercheap Auto

120

Seems like a good deal for a DA Polisher and swirl finder worklight. I think you need to add both items to see discount.

The polisher was $120, so it's a $42 saving. The light is just a bonus whether it's useful or not. It's comparable to the Rockwell DA polisher, which has gone for a low as $58, but for those that need it now, this is decent. It's better than that ToolPro 18V polisher that's going for $68 now and won't paint correct at all.

Stocks are low it seems, so be quick! Some of my local stores are already out of stock.

  • Would be nice if it came with some polishing pads too

  • Is the no load speed: 2100-5000rpm too high?

    • I have the Rockwell DA polisher with 1500 - 6800rpm and at the lowest setting it's quite gentle. 2100rpm would be low-mid setting on my Rockwell, which is where I would start for polishing and higher for paint correction.

THB, I've have not used or read much about this polisher, but if it's a proper DA, then it should be safe to use at any speed. The 150mm plate is much more usable than the 180mm one on the Rockwell, but I've changed to a 125mm/5" plate that gives more control over the working surface.

    • The no load speed should be measured with no tool (polishing pad) attached. So it will slow down when you attach a heavy polishing pad.

  • ordered but had to pay for shipping

  • I'd prefer the Rockwell one which is very well reviewed on OzBargain and has also been around the similar price when on sale.

  • I can only find reviews for the brushless version that's $69 at the moment. It seems good, don't know about this one.

  • Why are these not stocked?

    • they are sold out, need to pay for shipping like i did if you want it

  • Is the polishing pad base velcro or screwed on?

  • This deal still works for me
